Usual security fixes, nothing spectacular.

Dead patch if it doesn't do anything for stability.

Id much prefer to feel slightly more stable on a Wednesday morning. Guess I will have to settle for secure.

Such a slow generation that minor firmware updates are article worthy, apparently.

PS3 will probably get one in a few months time them it's like android mobiles once the few years are up. You get drip fed updates like maybe 2 for that year until you upgrade before non at all

Would be nice for a firmware to fix stick drifting unless that’s just not a problem for Sony

@Dudeitsme they’ll never fix the drift$ense because $ony makes too much money from people buying new ones every 3-6 months until it drifts and the cycle repeats

Yeah got the PS4 one too, it annoyed me as I bought some digital games, locked them, didn't show an update, yet I'd literally turned on the PS4 to do this not just other tasks.

I restart the console, it prompts it. It's pretty annoying. I forget how to get updates to trigger otherwise. My Switch 1 just let me know upon starting a game so Nintendo has it prompt one way better than at least the PS4 did having it show up.

That aside I am fine with them having more security updates for both PS4/5.

@Dudeitsme There is only so much they can do in software to tweak the sticks, the rest is on the potentiometers wearing out in certain ways, you can probably make changes due to stuff stuck in them, them getting stuck due to use, replace them, etc. but only so much can be done with software versus hardware side wearing.

@Papasears1982 PS5 Pro is not getting FSR4. It's getting a new version of PSSR that is based off of FSR4.
