We finally have a release date for the stylish shooter MOUSE: P.I. for Hire.

The game, which blends first-person gun-toting action with a noir, black-and-white, 1930s cartoon aesthetic, comes to PS5 on 19th March, 2026.

We've known about this game for a while, but it was announced for consoles about a year ago, when it was planned for release in 2025. Now, it's due to arrive about five months from now.

You play as a mouse detective named Jack Pepper (voiced by Troy Baker, no less) who begins the adventure investigating a straightforward missing persons case, only to discover a much wider conspiracy happening in the city of Mouseburg.

It's all elaborate set dressing for what looks to be a fun single player FPS, but the art and music seems very on-point. Animated by hand in a similar vein to Cuphead, the game has some serious style.

If its story and gameplay can live up to how it looks and sounds, MOUSE: P.I. For Hire could be something pretty special. We'll have to wait and see how it all holds together.

You can wishlist the game now on PS Store. Are you picking this one up in March? Tell us in the comments section below.
