Herdling is the next game from Okomotive, the team behind FAR: Lone Sails and FAR: Changing Tides.

While it's quite different from its predecessors, the new game shares their peaceful, somewhat melancholy atmosphere.

In Herdling, your job is to guide a herd of bovine-like creatures called Calicorns as you cross a picturesque landscape. Here's the latest trailer, which also reveals the release date:

The journey won't be an entirely smooth one, as you'll encounter obstacles and come into contact with unusual dangers.

It looks as though you'll be able to rely on your Calicorns to help get past certain puzzles and obstacles, such as pushing giant boulders out of the way.

There's potential here, but it'll depend on how it plays. Fortunately, there's not long to wait, as Herdling launches on 21st August 2025.
