Age of Empires 4: Anniversary Edition has been announced for PS5, the latest of Xbox's first-party titles to make the jump.

The well-received RTS arrives on Sony's console on 4th November 2025, as noted by the new trailer:

As well as the PS5 version of the game, AoE4 is getting some new content. Releasing alongside the PS5 port is a new expansion, Dynasties of the East, which will be available on PS5 too.

On top of that is a roguelite mode called The Crucible, a fresh way to play the beloved series. You'll pick game-altering Boons to help you dominate enemy forces.

You can pre-order the game right now on PS Store, and if you grab the Premium edition, you'll be able to play it five days early.
