In case you missed it, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has just had a big media push, with many outlets previewing the upcoming sequel.
As part of a Q&A during this preview event, Hideo Kojima reveals he has a concept in mind for a potential third outing, though says he won't be making it himself.
Some light DS2 spoilers below.
In the sequel, Sam Porter Bridges and co. visit other regions of the world, including Australia, using something called a Plate Gate to travel large distances.
"If I use this Plate Gate concept, I could make endless sequels," Kojima said. The director/designer continued, saying he doesn't have "any plans to do that", but that he does "already have a concept for another sequel".
Interestingly, he adds that he's "not going to make it myself, but if I passed it on to someone else, they could probably make it".
So, if there's to be a Death Stranding 3, it looks like Kojima will pass responsibility for it onto others, as well as his ideas for what it would entail.
