Oblivion Remastered Updates

When Oblivion Remastered was shadow dropped last week, questions were being asked of the game's post-launch support. Was it just going to be a one-and-done that Bethesda and Virtuos would immediately leave behind?

Fortunately not, as it turns out. Bethesda is actually being surprisingly hands-on with the whole thing, going as far as to ask players about improvements that they'd like to see implemented.

The company's official Discord server is currently collecting feedback from anyone willing to provide it, while Bethesda representatives have stated that they're relaying ideas back to the team on a constant basis.

We've seen plenty of solid suggestions across the web over the last week or so, and we've jotted down some of the most prevalent pleas:

  • Better inventory sorting
  • An easier way to compare equipment
  • More informative loot screens that show weight limits, etc.
  • Difficulty level improvements (many consider Adept too easy, while Expert is too difficult)
  • Enemy scaling improvements (some players want to see it toned down a bit more)
  • Better enemy AI in certain combat scenarios
  • A friendly fire toggle so you don't mistakenly hit allies in bigger battles
  • Dungeon icons that update when a dungeon is cleared
  • Easier access to dungeon and town maps (currently, you have to hold R2 to zoom right in on the world map and then hit R2 again to see the local dungeon or town map)
  • Options to disable certain parts of the HUD
  • Ability to change your character's appearance
  • Performance and frame rate improvements

Are there any improvements that you're eager to see in Oblivion Remastered? Watch out for rat jump scares in the comments section below.
