Sony has prematurely revealed a demo for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, as part of a trailer uploaded early to the PS Store. The video – presumably intended to debut as part of an upcoming State of Play livestream – promises to let you “step into the shoes of either Cloud or Sephiroth during the Nibelheim episode”. It adds that you’ll be able to “uncover the opening chapter of the story and explore the world map”.
While the demo is not currently available to download – it’ll presumably appear after the aforementioned broadcast – you can watch the trailer confirming its impending arrival above. The question is: will you be getting your first taste of the title as soon as possible, or waiting until the full release on 29th February? I want to be sensible and say I'll wait for the actual release but I know I won't. As soon as this is up, I'll be downloading it and checking the download progress every 20 seconds and getting frustrated it hasn't made much progress.

I’ll be all over it. Looks like the demo we expected to see. Square have nailed it with demos. The FF16 demo was 10/10.
I'm so damn ready. I'd rather play it now even if it's just a sliver than play it 24 days from now

Depends if playing the demo gives us free freebies when main game comes out. Will be too busy enjoying granblue fantasy relink, persona 3 reload, palworld, and helldivers 2 until rebirth is out
@amatmulisha some of us preorder the game before demo even out because we are used to not getting demos. Grew up in the glorious ps1 ps2 era.
I don't think I can wait. Haven't played a game for ages and this is the only one I currently want. It's being downloaded and I'm playing it probably multiple times before the release date. Haha
I won't be sleeping much tonight. So hyped for this.

Do you need to have completed FF7 Remake Part 1 to play this demo? I am curious to try it out but still working through the first game.

We all knew it was coming today anyway. Hyped to hear it from the horses mouth though.
Will probably play this once my pinky heals from surgery.
Also feels like a good time to remind people- buy FF7 Rebirth on PSN, get FF7R and Tifa dlc for free. I know most people reading this already own it but maybe you traded it in or lent it to a friend never to return.🤷🏻♂️. We got ours on PS+ so no Tifa, thinking it’s worth it just for that.

I'll check the demo out, but if the full game doesn't run well, I might wait for the Pro.
