Larian Studios' ludicrously epic Baldur's Gate 3 is so big that it needs three primary antagonists for players to contend with, its "unholy evil triumvirate". We've already met two of them, brought to life by a couple of the most brilliant actors of the age; Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, The Patriot) plays Lord Envar Ghorash, the charismatic, totalitarian ruler of Baldur's Gate, and J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man, Whiplash) as General Ketheric Thorm, a seemingly unstoppable necromancer leading an army of the dead towards the city.

If that doesn't sound like a complex-enough sandbox for you to roleplay around in, enter Orrin the Red, a shapeshifting killer who has made of murder an artform. Handily managed by voice actress Maggie Robertson, beloved by the internet for her portrayal of Resident Evil: Village's own murderess, Lady Dimitrescu, you can see her in action in the clip above.

Now, when we say shapeshifter, we don't mean the traditionally sexy kind, like when a half-elven vampire and a human druid explore the realms of physics and imagination. No, Orrin's transformations are far more violent and nightmarish, closer to those depicted in the deeply traumatic children's series Animorphs. She might even decide to wear the skin of a previously trustworthy companion and party member, adding a delightful element of paranoia to the proceedings. Oh, and she REALLY likes her blades.

What do you think of Orrin the Red and Baldur's Gate 3's Unholy Evil Triumvirate? Debate which of the three is supposed to be Pompey in the comments section below.
