There are a lot of questions surrounding what Silent Hill: Ascension really is at the moment, so fans will be tuning in for next week's San Diego Comic-Con panel in the hope of concrete news and details. What we do know is it's a TV series where fans can have their say and shape the conclusion of the story, but it's unclear how we'll tune in for episodes or the steps required to vote on story beats. Room 6BCF at Comic-Con will hopefully give us those answers, hosted by Greg Miller of Kinda Funny.

The show is set to air this year, and as part of the panel, Konami and Genvid Entertainment will jointly break down the "unique approach to the narrative, characters, and lore of upcoming projects, where fans are empowered to make significant decisions that influence the story and canon of these series".

Chief creative officer at Genvid Entertainment, Stephan Bugaj, explained: "We’ve had a massively positive reaction to our Silent Hill: Ascension announcements and attendees of our panel will be the first in the world to see some of the latest work on this exciting experience, as well as a reveal of the rest of our slate. We also have some big announcements, so you won’t want to miss the panel and be the first to get those details and an exclusive giveaway."

The panel will take place on Friday, 21st July 2023 at 7:30pm BST / 11:30am PT, lasting for one hour. Alongside Silent Hill: Ascension, Konami has a number of video game projects in the works like a remake of Silent Hill 2, a more indie-focused take on the series in Silent Hill: Townfall, and Silent Hill F, which seems to be the next big mainline instalment.
