A new trailer for Sonic Frontiers has been released by SEGA, giving us an overview of the game. Sonic Frontiers is coming to PS5 and PS4 on 8th November, 2022.
On a routine Chaos Emerald-gathering venture with Tails and Amy, Sonic and his friends are sucked into a dimensional portal and find themselves in a strange digital world called Cyber Space. Sonic must first find his lost companions, and then find a way home.
We got a look at several minutes of gameplay set in what is allegedly not an open world, but instead an "open zone" one, which we still aren't convinced is meaningfully different. There will be puzzles to solve, enemies to overcome and mysteries to solve, in Sonic's biggest, most ambitious adventure yet.
We get to see Sonic's new Cyloop ability, which does look quite cool. You run rings around enemies and objects, literally, in order to damage them, taking advantage of Sonic's most powerful asset (his speed).

I'm just not feeling this game.
@PegasusActual93 same. I want to feel this game but it’s not happening for me. I will be really interested to see how this one reviews. 🤔
They should have made a open Green Hill zone. They could even have gone the mario64/sunshine/oddesy direction. Make multiple open zones. I'm a Sonic fan but still can't say I'm excited about this game. The open world looks extremely dark and lifeless. And you still aren't able to play as Knuckles or Tails again by the looks of it.
Looks like a laugh! Running around as Sonic in an open world should be a ton of fun!
Doesn't look half bad to me personally. Haven't been following this but unless it's a total turd I'll likely buy this
So excited. This looks better and better with each passing day. Well, that's my November sorted, at any rate!
I’m really hoping this game is great or is an absolute train wreck (but in a fun way not boring level design, stuff like when you jump on a certain rail sonics legs get left behind) either way the game will be fun
This trailer is a wild ride, especially frame-rate-wise.
The gameplay looks alright, but that setting is so dull and still looks like an Unreal Engine asset flip. If they’d made a properly stylised word I think I’d be a lot more on board.
