PS Plus Extra Japan

As the new PS Plus Extra tier launches in Japan, its games list has been revealed — and it's a bit more impressive than the list that came with the tier's release in the rest of Asia. For starters, there are a number of additional titles on here — many of which were part of PS Now.

The only problem, of course, is that some of this list is in Japanese, and it can be difficult to translate properly. That said, we've managed to translate most of the catalogue — but that doesn't mean that all of these games will come West with Extra.

We're keeping tabs on All PS Plus Games through the link and we've added many of the titles from Asia and Japan that we think are likely for the US and Europe to our guide. However, we'll be keeping a close eye on official information from Sony and will update appropriately as and when we have more information available.

The key thing is that Japan's list of PS Plus Extra games is substantially bigger than the one previously confirmed for Asia. Highlight additions include Bethesda titles like Fallout 4 and Prey, as well as noteworthy Japanese titles like Disaster Report 4. There are also additions like The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope and Enter the Gungeon — not enormous games, perhaps, but welcome inclusions. There are many other additions; this is a significantly larger list overall.

We've also had confirmation on PS Plus Premium's PS3 games in Japan, which might give us a better idea with regards to the streaming library. Again, it's difficult to decipher which games will be available in the US and Europe and which won't, but we've picked out some highlights through the link and compiled the most likely Western releases in our All PS Plus Games guide. Admittedly it's all a bit messy, but we're doing the best we can with the information available right now.
