One of the indie titles announced during PlayStation 5's reveal was Stray, a game from Annapurna Interactive and BlueTwelve. The teaser showed a cat wandering through a mysterious world devoid of humans but inhabited by robots, and you can't not be intrigued by that. Well, we've finally had a glimpse at proper gameplay, and it's looking very promising indeed.

In the above video, one of the developers talks you through some gameplay footage. You'll be playing as the feline, and that means you'll be able to leap around the environment and outrun threats with ease. As you explore the neon-lit world, you'll encounter a little drone that will help you navigate and talk to the robotic residents. You can even do cat-like things such as scratching furniture, making people jump with your sudden appearance, or headbutting legs, which is just wonderful. It appears the game will be primarily about exploration; rather than fighting back against any enemies, you'll simply outrun and outsmart them.

The game is set to arrive on PS5 and PS4 in early 2022, and we're really interested to find out more. What do you think of Stray's gameplay reveal? Will you be adopting this one next year? Get comfy in a cardboard box in the comments section below.
