Do you remember those awesome PlayStation Japan promotional videos? Sony certainly does, as it’s brewed up a new one for the PlayStation 5, this time focusing on the format’s first year software line-up. The concept of the video is built around someone working on their computer, putting together a PowerPoint presentation to showcase some of the titles in production for the next-gen system.
There are a lot of great games on display here, with the emphasis clearly on Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Resident Evil Village. The publisher also spares some time for Judgment and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, as well as a bunch of existing titles, like Demon’s Souls and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. It’s not a bad selection at all.
Obviously, there have been stronger promotional videos than this in the past, purely because Sony had much more software to spotlight. But it’s worth remembering that PS5 is barely even three months old; as far as first year line-ups go, this is a good one. Which of the titles featured are you most looking forward to?

Love the concept of someone putting together a PowerPoint - possibly the most interesting PowerPoint I’ve ever seen someone make - fun and exciting stuff

The bit at the end with the Copyrights was a nice touch.
But that's an amazing Year 1 line-up. I'm struggling to think of a better one. And with even more games on the horizon.
I know people have issues with Japan Studio and Zenimax, but feck me there's no shortage of games to play there.

Great trailer - although it hypes me up for the next proper Sony showcase event, whenever that might be. It would be great to get something over the Summer. There is nothing quite like the hype for a big showcase

What an awesome Playstation games trailer.
And so many japanese games there, feels my heart of joy.
I will always have a sense of respect and admiration for the japanese devs and their amazing creativity.
They struggle a lot during the begining the HD era (PS3, Xbox 360 and WiiU).
It was not easy for them to make the jump, so to speak, with huge development times and costs, but eventualy they were able to create more amazing titles just like they always have.
Great Playstation lineup and can´t wait for a bunch of those games:

@get2sammyb that it does , all the cool messaging and the speed it come together at - I still think the actual PowerPoint looks a little dull but the video about the making of the PowerPoint is absolute fire
Resi evil and ratchet and clank are the only two I’m excited about to be fair, returnal looks cool but I wouldn’t pay full price for it
@get2sammyb If this video were made 10 years ago, it would involve someone with VR goggles and lots of gestures in the air.
If only they'd done videos like this for the past 6 months. Not that it's not mostly just multiplats or time limited multiplats, but it's at least exciting to see and generate some hype.
