You may recall that, last month, a rating for Subnautica: Below Zero crept onto ESRB's website. Age ratings don't just appear for no reason, so it was a pretty big clue that the follow-up to the beloved underwater survival game was heading to consoles. Sure enough, it's now been officially announced for PlayStation 5 and PS4.

With Bandai Namco on publishing duties, the frigid first person title is coming to Sony's machines as a cross-gen game. Its predecessor, Subnautica, has been available on PS4 since 2018, but Below Zero features a new map and story to follow as you survive the murky depths. It's releasing on 14th May 2021, so there's still a few months to work up the courage to take the plunge.
