Veteran Capcom developer Hideaki Itsuno is at it again, teasing his next project on social media. Itsuno is best known as the director of both the Devil May Cry series and Dragon's Dogma, with the excellent Devil May Cry 5 being his most recent work.
But now that Devil May Cry 5 is all wrapped up, what's next? Itsuno writes on Twitter: "The new project under construction in parallel is on track. It's still a long way off, but stay tuned for the announcement!"
Itsuno's not giving much away, but an educated guess says that this could well be Dragon's Dogma 2. The revered director hinted at the sequel's existence back in 2019, and rumours of the game's development simply refuse to fade away. And that's without mentioning the various Capcom-related leaks that surfaced last year, many of which suggested that Dragon's Dogma 2 is real.
In any case, it's probably a bit too early to get excited. As itsuno says, this thing is "still a long way off".

I hope this is real as Dragons Dogma has huge potential. The pawn system is unique and combat just felt really good.
Loved dragons dogma on the ps4..not so much on the ps3 as the issues performance wise really made it a chore to play..we need another dragons dogma..i need another dragons dogma..
Dragon's Dogma 2 !!! COME ON!!!
I need to give Dragon's Dogma another shot, I tried to play it back on PS3, but I couldn't seem to grasp the mechanics of the game, and was never sure what I was supposed to do I don't know if that was because the game doesn't tell you or if I simply wasn't paying enough attention.

@JustPlainLoco @b1ackjack Trust me I had the same problems...I dropped the game after an hour or two of boredom.
Also doesn't help the first city you wake up in has no map and it's easy to get lost in.

I played DD on 360 years ago and bought it again for PS4 right yesterday! Just started it with no HUD to give it a Souls feeling. Can't wait to throw my big mouthed companions from a cliff again!
Bought Dragon’s Dogma on sale for about 11 bucks some months ago. Still playing it now. I’ll definitely take a sequel for it.

I just picked up Dragon's Dogma and all it's dlc for under $10 on this months Playstation sale. Glad to see so many people think highly of it. It will be the next game I play whenever I finally tire of Cyberpunk. So maybe, 6 months from now...
@nessisonett What the hell happened to that? It looked incredible and more Soulsborne is fine by me. In early 2015, Kazunori Sugiura stated in an interview with 4gamer that the vision for the game had expanded since its initial 2013 reveal, to better appeal in the long term to players, and so the development timescale had been extended. In June 2018, Capcom extended the trademark for the game. So it looks like it may still be a thing.
I always thought the graphics looked to be pushing PS4 hard, so think what this will look like on PS5...
*Oh and I'm in for Dragon's Dogma 2. The first one was fantastic and such a wee underrated game...
