The latest physical UK chart is in, and it's looking pretty familiar. Cyber Monday got the week off to a good start, and it means that a discounted FIFA 21 takes the top spot once more. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War settles for second place again, and the remainder of the top 10 is fairly predictable.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla moves up one place into fourth, while Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales holds steady in sixth. Just Dance 2021 and Marvel's Avengers swap places; they're now in seventh and 10th respectively. The week's biggest new release, Immortals Fenyx Rising, just misses out on a top 10 debut, arriving in 11th place. The majority of sales for this new Ubisoft game are for the PS5 version.
Here's the latest top 10 in full.
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 5th December 2020
- FIFA 21
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Just Dance 2021
- Minecraft (Switch)
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars
- Marvel's Avengers

Ouch that’s not a good start for immortals fenyx. I sorta feel like ubi have done zero promo for it though and the name change didn’t help either I doubt
Ooh not a good start. Beaten by Avengers!
I prefer immortals to breath of the wild. Shame that its not in the top 10. It deserves to be.
Immortals sold more copies on the ps5 than the ps4 lol there's probably 2-3 millions ps5s out there compared to over 100 million ps4 consoles
@Medic_Alert DS would have been a very popular launch game. Since there are not many new PS5s being sold due to stock I guess not many people will buy DS. I'm sure more copies will be sold as PS5 stock becomes available...
Grand Theft Auto V is 19th, in case anyone's wondering.
@Medic_Alert Demon's Souls isn't in the all formats top 40. It's probably one of those games that early adopters buy at once and that's basically it for a while. Also worth remembering digital sales data could tell a very different story.
What did Ubisoft expect, releasing a million games in the space of 3 months with the last one so close to Cyberpunk 2077.
Shame about Immortals as its really good and the best of the 3 big Ubi games, i wasn't actually going to get it so soon but Yongyea's review convinced me to jump in now and i'm glad i did.
That is a shame, a misstep with the marketing for Immortals and its launch window is a tough one too. I picked it up this weekend on a whim as I had an urge to play Valhalla but I didn't fancy the bugs. I'm glad I picked Immortals as it's a really refreshing direction that Ubisoft has taken with that game.
I'd like to see a Norse sequel for it too, I think they've got a nice formula with this game to make 2-3 other games.
Saw this coming a mile away. Releasing it in December was a silly move. Unless your Cyberpunk, releasing in December is a death sentence.
Ubisoft release schedule is suicidal
@Quintumply With GTA Online’s biggest ever update arriving next Tuesday, GTA V may move up slightly in the charts, same when it eventually releases the PS5/XSX upgrade update.
@Medic_Alert If it is true about Demon’s Souls sales not doing too well and that lots of people are trading it in then maybe now is a good time for Bluepoint Games to include that easy mode that they decided against implementing. I would certainly benefit from it as I found the Dark Souls games too difficult and frustrating to the point where I just gave up on it.
Not surprised, unless you're an existing mainstream IP you're unlikely to make top 10. As long as the game sells well enough to make cost, we'll see more.
Shame for Immortals, it's a fun game. Maybe it should've been 20 euros less, even though it's packed with content!
I dislike each and every one of you who bought FIFA 21
@Razrye888
have too agree i'm enjoying it more than i did breath of the wild, still i would say wild is the better game over all but this is more enjoyable.
but was a terrible time to release, a week before cyberpunk
Fenyx never had a chance. It should be 39.99 summer release at best.
Only hope it had was on Switch, seeing how both Valhalla and Cyberpunk are not on it. But if the PS5 launch install base outsold it, I guess that was a fail.
AC: Valhalla is up 14%, a million times better than Fenyx in every way at $60.
If you are playing Valhalla or Fenyx. Amazon Prime has an amazing set for each

Demon’s Souls is an interesting one. Many people, like myself, would have bought the game as it was the big PS5 exclusive, but then found it to be very difficult to get into. A good example would be near the beginning of the game when you’re told to visit the monumental in order to make further progress. I had no idea what a monumental was and only knew that it was somewhere higher up in the nexus. I spent ages wandering around and had to look at an online guide to realise that you had to look for the figure next to the brightest candle. In my opinion this is a dreadful piece of game design that Blue Point should have changed. I also agree that an easier difficulty could be included.
Shame the game isn't getting that much attention as I think it is a blast to play and it is my favorite open world game from Ubisoft so far. I'm having fun exploring and I'm digging the silly humor more than I thought I would. I'm about 25 hours in and hope to wrap up the Platinum sometime later this week.
People as a whole have such ***** taste.
Took a little gamble on fenix rising and I have to admit this is a brilliant game! The cartoon graphics didn't really appeal to me but it unbelievable playing it. The combat is great and plenty of different ways to kill. As someone stated on here this is a great title and should be in top 10! But not enough promotion! Another great game that did this was remnant from the ashes! Another fantastic game that could have done better if they promoted it! It did well enough but it doesn't make sense to me?
