Just let it sink in for a moment: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is out in three days. Three days! One of Sony's biggest surprises from its Future of Gaming event back in June is marking the start of the PlayStation 5 generation and we've got a big-budget launch trailer to celebrate. Check it out above.
This scribe has tried to avoid watching as much of the trailer as possible through fear of spoilers, so instead, let's detail what we expect the two minutes of footage will contain. Miles Morales will swing about New York, beat up some bad guys, tease a boss fight or two, and contain some more laid-back scenes of the protagonist playing with his mates. Oh, and there'll be a kick-ass song playing over it all.

This is the first game to go in my PS5 now cyberpunk is delayed.
The ray tracing mode looked amazing on Digital Foundry video!
I couldn’t bring myself to watch it either... but that didn’t stop me from humming Mile’s tunes in my head as was reading this!!
Soooo...as someone who didn't play the first one and will get them both (the PS5 package I mean)...does it really matter which one I play first, story-wise?
this looks great! i'm torn between buying the PS4 version or waiting til i get a PS5 for that version.
i just beat Spider-Man PS4 like 2 days ago and going through the DLC now. i'm kinda interested to see where the story takes Miles etc. i'm afraid if i wait til the PS5 version that i'm gonna be like, wait what happened?
anyway, Insomniac/Sony/Marvel is knocking it out of the park with this franchise.

If this is the bar that has been set for games surrounding the character going forward, I'd honestly be fine with the standalone games remaining under the PlayStation umbrella if it meant Insomniac got to keep working on the IP.
I know this probably isn't meant to last in the long term scheme of things, but they're seriously knocking it out of the park. Miles has come a really long way and turned from a character I just thought of as a second Peter Parker differentiated by race who had no unique qualities, to one of my new favorite Marvel characters thanks to everything built around him like ITSV and the new comics in addition to this game series.
WARNING - the latest trailer does contain a character spoiler, so steer clear if you want to go in blind. Personally I’m not too bothered having seen it, though it would have been a nice surprise.
I just received an email saying my copy is being dispatced. I'll just lean it against the TV and drool over it until the PS5 arrives next week.
This game is going to be amazing. I just can't wait to see them add Gwen Stacy as a playable Spider Man which will probably be in two. Having Peter, Miles and Gwen will be awesome.
