Sony is recruiting talent to its recently established Malaysian first-party studio, and it’s looking for a Cinematic and In-Game Animator to help with its work on one of PlayStation’s most “well-known and well-loved franchises”. This is a support studio setup to help out the company’s various teams around the world, including Insomniac Games, Naughty Dog, and Guerrilla Games.
“We are looking for talented, highly-motivated, and creative animators to breathe life into the next chapter of cinematic storytelling,” a job advertisement reads, as retweeted by the organisation’s indie evangelist Shuhei Yoshida overnight. There’s very little additional information in the listing itself, aside from confirmation that candidates will be creating “in-game and pre-rendered animation” according to the requirements of the project.
Many believe that the team is helping out PlayStation’s unannounced San Diego studio, which is thought to be working on a new Uncharted title. In reality, though, it appears to be collaborating with all of Sony’s first-party studios, so this listing could just as easily apply to Santa Monica and God of War Ragnarok or Guerrilla Games and Horizon Forbidden West.

@TheFrenchiestFry You jest, but that's precisely what they did with R&C......
@NEStalgia Exactly. That's why I brought it up, and they probably would've done the same with Sly Cooper had that movie not gotten cancelled.
@TheFrenchiestFry
We've already had one of those...

The hand-to-hand combat should be great if it’s coming from a Meleeysian studio.
I want a New Killzone, Sony really left the multiplayer FPS exclusives behind in the dust, but I really liked Shadow falls multiplayer
@jgrangervikings1 really reaching with that one
@TheFrenchiestFry Yeah. What a surprise that a video game movie would fail? Thankfully the R&C game was great though.
I'm really bummed about the status of Sly though. I've been dying for a new Sly for so long!
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L. Definitely playa.whats good big time.pittsburgh Steelers 6 and 0.next game ravens.cant wait.word up son
Legend of Dragoon, Syphon Filter, Dark Cloud any of these will be great.
Who cares about new entries by non ND developers.
And yes, it's good, ND doesn't do it anymore, so they can do something new. And we don't need "middleclass" Uncharteds and co.
This will be for Knack 3
@Flaming_Kaiser Any old PS IP would be great.
@ThroughTheIris56 How about Primal thats not gonna happen but i would not be against it.
@Flaming_Kaiser I've hardly ever heard anyone talk about it, and the original studio is closed, so unfortunately I doubt it. I have it on PS2, I still need to play it.
I just really want a new Ape Escape.
If it's not Syphon Filter I'm not interested.
@ThroughTheIris56 That sucks i really want Legend of Dragoon i dont know why but i loved that game so much. I would love too hear about a smaller more obscure game too be released. I would even accept Twisted Metal World Tour remake with full on multiplayer without any weird twists. Mark of Kri, Okage surprise me Sony we need some midtier games. 😃
@Flaming_Kaiser Completely agree.
I have Legend of Dragoon on PS3. I had to go through the hassle of making an American account to get it because for some reason it's not on the UK store, but I'm can't wait to play it when I get time off. I have little experience with JRPGs, but it seems really cool.
Lair from ps3.........
PaRappa The Rapper 3 confirmed?
It's Twisted Metal. That or the game that every PlayStation fan loves: The Lost Chronicles of Parappa the Rapper and it's bringing 2Pac back for a grand return.
