Cyberpunk 2077 got two really good, brand new trailers during its latest livestream. The first (embedded above) gives us a tour of Night City in all of its dense detail. The setting continues to look fantastic, and CD Projekt Red is still keen to demonstrate just how vertical the game's world is.
The second trailer (embedded below) introduces Night City's numerous gangs. Presumably, you'll be working alongside many of them throughout the game, all while stabbing others in the back and turning the rest into Swiss cheese.
Cyberpunk 2077 continues to look outstanding, but we do wonder how this open world adventure holds up on PS4. As you may already know, Cyberpunk launches on the 19th November — the same day as the PS5 in Europe, and a week after Sony's console in the US — but it won't get its dedicated, free PS5 upgrade until 2021. Let's hope that the PS4 version gets the job done until then.
Are you hyped for Cyberpunk 2077? Enjoy the chaos of Night City in the comments section below.

I think all we need to see now is how this game runs on current-gen consoles. After seeing the recommended PC specs, you wonder how it'll hold up and how far it'll be scaled back.
This new Grand Theft Auto game looks good.
Am I only one seeing downgrade in postcards of night city..... And dialogue syncing looks off...
@get2sammyb Brilliant!
Even without the upgrade hopefully the PS5 runs this really well, I say this because they both come out on the same day here in the UK so it will be the first game I play on my PS5 unless I have a quick look at Astrobot first
How come motion capture always looks so awkward (unless it's Naughty Dog or Santa Monica)?
@Octane I was wondering the same thing. When it cuts to 3rd person shots of characters firing guns it looks the same as COD on a PS3.
Gonna check this video out later but this is basically my PS5 launch game 😁
@carlos82 Seriously. The day this gets its PS5 version will likely be same day I get my PS5. (Yes, I know you can upgrade from PS4, but I'd rather experience it at its best from the start.)
@Stragen8 It's especially noticeable during those ''news reels''. No real person moves that way lol.
With this and a PS5 turning up on the same day I'm going to be eagerly staring out the window for delivery trucks.
Despite no proper upgrade, hopefully it might get a resolution bump and be super smooth playing on the PS5.
@Arugula I respect your discipline.
@MFTWrecks they did say it should have some performance enhancements at launch but I can see why you'd want to wait for the full fat experience. I'm just not that patient
I'm going to hold out until the proper PS5 upgrade. I feel like playing this on a PS4 will be a disservice to the developers and to yourself. Hopefully I will be able to snag a console by then
Just pre-ordered the game, the art/lore book and the special edition guide - and add in the PS5 pre-order the other day and my wallet is begging me to call 999 because it's bleeding to death.
Anyway, the hype is building. It'll be great to play it on the same day the PS5 arrives; I mean it looks like something from the future itself, and DualSense sounds like some unethical cyberpunk VR experience where you hack into someone else's central nervous system. I think there was something like that in Neuromancer, actually...
Definitely going to wait for the ps5 update. Game looks awesome but thankfully should be enough to keep me busy until the patch releases!
Day one. PS4. I'm gonna spoil it for all of you.
@Octane I swear, LA Noire’s however many years old now but still looks better than half the weird stiff motion capture you see now. I mean, yes that game had some... interesting animations but the faces were top notch. One thing I’d like to see next gen is human characters who move and talk like humans, not fleshy meat puppets.
@Matroska DualSense absolutely makes me think of the weird VR sex machine in Demolition Man. Insert horrified Sylvester Stallone.
I probably overcompensated by upgrading to a 2060 and 9th gen i7 for this game
@Octane Yeah, I assume it has to do with the resolution of whatever capture rig is being used, the interpolation by whatever animation system is used, and probably dramatic overacting by the models required to work around limitations in the capture rig.
Then there's the problem of the actors not being the right size, age, or even gender for the character in the screen that really messes up locomotion. That's what went wrong with the forever creeptastic Polar Express. They used adults for the mocap for kids. Problem is kids and adults locomote differently. Thus the kids all move like zombie children.
I'm not sure what the whining is all about, these videos look great to me. Especially for an open world, multi-system RPG with a lot of moving parts under the hood. Mark my words, not only will this be Game of the Year, it'll be in most players top 5 of all time. Think of how good the Witcher was, and take in to consideration the growth and determination of the developers. This might be the best game we see for the next ten years.
I'm not trying to cause a reaction but from what I've seen I prefer RDR2's world over this one. Obviously I'll reserve proper judgement till I actually play it but I can't help thinking it looks GTA in a different setting.
@NEStalgia Yeah, I remember the ''children'' in The Witcher 3, the moved and acted like tiny adults. Very creepy.
@get2sammyb Was thinking the same thing.
The music in the 'Postcards' trailer is more like the vibe I expected. Love it.
This and the ps5 releasing on the same day, oof. I pre ordered cyberpunk foe xbox one because i have the x but ill buy it again when the ps5 uprgade comes around.
I might just wait and play this on PS5. Can't wait to see what CDPR have in store for us!
If my pre-order PS5 arrives Cyberpunk will be the first game I will play on it.
This game looks amazing!
Did I see a stripper and brief ....?
Wow, now it looks like Fallout 5!
I'd better wait for the proper PS5 version, summer 2021.
@andreoni79
How do you know it's summer 2021?
I wonder if this will really de-throne GTA. I think it will but I hear Saints Row is coming back in the spotlight soon. And who knows whats coming after these are all out. I believe the reason GTA is so big because simply no competition. Now who will be King of the hill?
@BrettAwesome It's just my simple supposition based on what happened with The Witcher 3 and its many updates.
Devs confirmed they'll do something similar with Cyberpunk 2077 so I imagine the game will need 6 months to be fully optimized, then we'll get story DLC.
Yeah i've been agonising over whether to cancel my preorder and wait for the ps5 version, or just get the ps4 version at launch. I think ive made up my mind now though. Regardless of any enhancements, i'm happy to grab the ps4 version to play on my ps5, and then run through with enhancements at a later date. Hopefully i'll still immediately benefit from running the game off the PS5's ssd
Pre-order it and cannot wait to play it on PS5 at launch. So hyped for both (game and console).😃😃
I'm definitely gonna wait to play this game on PlayStation 5...assuming I ever get my hands on a pre-order.
