Numerous reports are coming in across the globe that the PlayStation Network is currently suffering from some pretty substantial problems, to the point where users are no longer able to access the network itself. The outage appears to be taking place largely across the UK, Australia, Japan, Spain, and both the east and west coasts of the US.
PSN users state they aren't able to log in to their profiles, and those that manage to, are locked out of playing the games they own. Down Detector has taken in close to 8,000 reports in the past two hours associated with the PlayStation Network, meaning this is definitely affecting some players. Sony's social media channels haven't commented on the problem just yet, but we're sure it'll be fixed before too long.
