You can't have a big AAA release without the grand launch trailer to accompany it, and thankfully, Marvel's Avengers recognises that. This 60-second glimpse into the superhero experience definitely falls on the short side, but we're sure there is just enough here to get you excited about September's biggest PlayStation 4 title.
Footage still attempts to convince us that Captain America is actually dead while Kamala Khan does what she does best and tries to re-assemble the Avengers taskforce in the aftermath of A-Day. This is basically an amalgamation of past trailers with a couple of new gameplay tidbits here and there -- it's not something that changes our opinion of the game but we're sure it'll get the more casual crowd excited.

I expect it to sell modestly based on brand recognition, especially since it looks like they're trying desperately to get the attention of the "I only watch the MCU films" crowd with the roster choices, but it's definitely not doing Spider-Man numbers
If anything playing the beta made me just want a new Incredible Hulk game like Ultimate Destruction or a solid single player Iron Man game that isn't exclusive to VR

@NeonTiger The game is going to sell very well, I think that's pretty much set in stone.
@NeonTiger Yeah. If only these characters actually got the luxury treatment in video games that Spider-Man gets on a near consistent basis, even during the Activision days

It'd probably be closer to Arkham in terms of sales success but definitely not Spider-Man
I really enjoyed the beta so i'm hyped.
The lack of visual changes to gear aside from skins is a real bummer IMO. It makes the whole gear/loot system feel like sort of an afterthought and not as rewarding as it has the potential to be ( I think they can streamline the like 6 different resources you gotta collect to upgrade each piece)...but it’s odd since it’s also basically the foundation of the game so it feels very primitive at the moment.
Hopefully they listen to feedback and continually improve upon the game, but I can’t justify picking it up day 1 until I see more of how they handle things game post-launch. I’m not picking on this dev. or game solely as I do want it to succeed, these are the exact the same thoughts I had towards Destiny & Anthem at launch too and it’s more a byproduct of my hesitation to jump blindly into a game of this type.
@SpicyTacos101 Marvel are most likely why gear doesn't change the look, they are really funny when it comes to designs of Marvel characters. Its why the game is packed with skins and iconic looks instead.
One week away until release for deluxe edition. I liked the beta very much. Can't wait to play full game.
... after playing the beta all weekend... I'm not sure it's got legs after the main campaign... a game focused on getting better gear and enhancing that gear.. but the gear is invisible.. I mean... really?!? Utterly pointless. I felt the frame rate was janky too.. even on "performance" mode.. it just wasn't smooth enough... no, it's a "wait for a deep discount or at least a LOT more content" type thing...
When this was first announced, I thought it looked awful and was going to avoid it like the plague. I really enjoyed the beta though and pre ordered it
Launch trailer was nice and got me more interested, but after everything I think I'll wait for reviews and patches.
