After being teased last week, Shadow Warrior 3 has been officially announced ahead of this weekend's Devolver Digital showcase. You can get a look at the teaser trailer above with gameplay promised for the digital presentation in question on Saturday. It looks sublime, with a 2021 release window confirmed, but the issue from our point of view is that the game has only been announced for PC at the time of writing.
Shadow Warrior came to PlayStation 4 a year or so after it's original release on the personal computer back in 2014 while its sequel took seven months to make the same jump. Because of that, it's probably safe to assume that Shadow Warrior 3 will come to consoles at some point, but we were hoping to have next-gen confirmation upon its initial announcement.
When asked for comment, a Devolver Digital representative told us: "It's TBC! We'll confirm platforms at a later date."

@Ken_Kaniff not hard at all.. give them try they are good.. if you have gaming pc pick them on steam right now they are cheap.. if not wait for price drop on ps4..

I played Shadow Warrior 2 recently and had a great time with it. I will definitely be picking this up.

@H4ilHydra I remember looking at a trophy guide years ago and it had the difficulty rated at a 9/10, so it kind of put me off. Maybe I'll play it on my dummy account sometime in the future.
As I recall, SW2 ended so abruptly that I swore I wouldn't buy the next one. Maybe on sale in 2022? Will report back in 2 years.
@Ken_Kaniff if you want the platinum yes theres a difficulty called Heroic which has the toughest enemies and only saves every chapter. Not sure about the second one tho
@Danloaded I've got a dummy account I use for games that I'm interested in but dont want to spend the effort to platinum. I'll probably play it eventually. So many games so little time
I was going to buy Shadow Warrior 2 when it was announced but I'm not sure if it was me but I didn't hear ANYTHING about it afterwards. Not even about it being released. So I forgot about it entirely.
