YES! Looks amazing! And, like usual, Chris has another redesign! Haha at least this time he looks like he should. Wish his RE5 voice actor was back but whatever. I’ll take what I can get.

Not sure on this. I prefer the third person style of the last few remakes.

Shame they're going with their weakest character in Chris but I really liked the look of it, I guess they will be sharing some elements with the RE4 remake too

I wish Capcom had returned to third person and brought back some more classic characters like Jill and Claire. Not really digging where the story could be headed either. All that said, I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because I wasn't fully sold on RE VII at first either and it ended up being one of my favorite games this gen and in the RE series. The story had a few surprise moments as well so I'm going to assume not all is as appears in the trailer.

I like the setting

I love the RE4 vibes. Capcom has really been knocking it out of the park with the RE series lately. Also, the dude with glasses reminds me of The Merchant.

Hi there fellow gamers. I´m still a bit torn on the whole first person view perspective, but man does it looks good. The village itself and the ambience, very RE4 like. I´m into that. Cheers and happy gaming to us all.

I was really wondering how theyd pull off what on paper sounds like a goofy idea/direction but th8s looks super cool! Im a total sucker for haunted houses so i can maybe see myself prefering re7 but time will tell, it definitely looks great though without seeming hammy

This is the Resident Evil 4 Remake that the fans demanded and received.

Hoping there are more enemies than 7. It tried it's hand at a more Haunting Ground/Clock Tower vibe but eh, wasn't quite as good.

@Taylorzombie out of what I see as the core cast yes, he's not even in my favourite entries (2 & 4), whilst I prefer Jill in 1 and Leon is the only redeeming feature of 6, even his add on for 7 is one of its weakest components

@Taylorzombie even in 7? When they completely changed how he looks? He's one of the most inconsistent characters in gaming when it comes to his appearence.

It's like he keeps going back to the character editor in dark souls.

@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L Apparently 1st person is 'scarier' I mean, I found resident evil 2 and 3 remakes plenty scary enough but I'm just wrong I guess.

@carlos82 Chris fits the story they're going for, he is also one of the main four characters (Chris,Jill, Leon, Claire) he's also arguably more developed than all the others, especially the ladies so I don't see how you could consider him the weakest character.

He's been a constant in the story, from 1 all the way to the most recent 8, we know the most about him than anyone, from stars all the way to blue umbrella. 2nd would be Leon but Jill and Claire are almost completely absent from the overarching story, haven't seen Jill since 5 and Claire since Revelations 2.

@Cloud39472 I'm excited for the new game and of course Chris fits given his appearance in 7 with these characters, I'm lamenting him being the one dumped in at the end of 7 instead of one of the others.

Just my experience with the series involved playing mainly as Jill in RE1, he's not even in 2, 3 and 4 which were great, 5 was pretty good, 6 was awful apart from Leon and he was kind of shoehorned into the ending of 7 and his dlc was the weakest part of the package. It's not necessarily the fault of the character or the story around him but that in my experience with the series he's generally around when it's at its weakest and completely absent when it's at its best

@KidBoruto Resident Evil 4 is tough for me to go back and play and I played the series from the beginning, the controls are quirky to say the least. If you get the chance to try it on the Wii as it plays great on that system.

In any case you really should try the remake of 2 on current platforms, it plays like a dream and is arguably the best in the series, 7 is great too

@Taylorzombie What are you talking about? I didn't say anything about that. I just said they changed how he looked and it was weird. He had looked the same in 5,Revelations,6 and even some of the animated films but then suddenly in 7 they changed how he looked to be more 'realistic' when instead they made him more generic and he didn't look like the same person anymore.

He looks more like the Chris I know now, a game characters appearance is important to their identity and Capcom has a habit and history with handling characters poorly. (like Dante in DMC2)
