Before Dreams was even released, Media Molecule has been talking about PlayStation VR support. At one point it was thought to be included from day one, but fans of the play create share title have been waiting months for an update. To cap off the just-finished DreamsCom live stream, the studio has finally announced a release date.

Dreams will receive its big PSVR support update on 22nd July 2020.

The update is called Inside the Box, and will bring compatibility with PSVR to Dreams. In addition to this functionality, Media Molecule is adding in "new tutorials, how-tos, and kits to get you started" when building in VR. An on-boarding introduction called All Aboard VR will "help you get familiar with the Dreams VR controls and what it’ll be like traversing the Dreamiverse whether you’re a player or a creator or both".

The update will also introduce new gadgets for VR and non-VR creators to use when building things, and a handful of PSVR compatible games to play too.

It sounds like a huge update, and we can't wait to jump in and see how it all works. What will you make with Dreams' new PSVR support? Tell us in the comments section below.
