Just like with Madden NFL 21, purchasing FIFA 21 on the PlayStation 4 will allow you to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free. There are some caveats: you’ll have up until the release of FIFA 22 to redeem your free next-gen copy, and you’ll need a PS5 with a disc drive if you’re planning to purchase FIFA 21 physically. This is because the digital edition of Sony’s next-gen system can’t validate your Blu-ray disc.
There’s a little bit more: your progress in FIFA Ultimate Team and VOLTA Football will transfer from the PS4 to the PS5 and back again, while other modes like Online Seasons, Co-Op Seasons, Career Mode, and Pro Clubs will be specific to the system you’re playing on. You can check out a new trailer for the next-gen version through here.

Hmmm... Maybe it will be an actual Smart Delivery counterpart after all.
i was planning on skipping fifa 21, mainly due to the idea that I will have to rebuy PS5 version and my FUT progress will be lost, but this seems like I actually might just get it after all.
Smart delivery is fantastico.
Nobody plays fifa anymore!
@Saucymonk Tell that to the millions that buy it yearly
