Look, we all know God of War (2018) is getting a sequel. The return of Kratos was showered with near universal praise and it made Sony a heck of a lot of money -- the next game is all but confirmed to be in development for PlayStation 5. But you know what? It's still nice to be on the receiving end of a little tease now and then.
Kim Newman, who's narrative animator over at God of War developer Sony Santa Monica Studio, has donned a motion capture suit and posted a picture to Twitter. The tweet reads: "Feels good to be back in the suit. @SonySantaMonica".
While this doesn't necessarily mean that the next God of War is well into development or anything like that, it does confirm that wheels are almost certainly in motion behind the scenes. That said, it's probably going to be some time before we actually get any official word on Kratos' next outing. Once the PS5 launches later this year and we've tasted the first few months of the new console generation, we'll likely have a much better understanding of Sony's first-party plans.
Until then, feel free to imagine the next God of War in the comments section below.
