The flagship title of Sony's China Hero Project, Lost Soul Aside, has been floating about for quite a while now -- originally announced nearly half a decade ago as a fan project. It's a Devil May Cry inspired title we've been looking forward to playing for an excruciatingly long time, but 2020 might finally be the year we get our hands on it. If you're in need of a refresher, however, check out the trailer above.
Translated by the ever-reliable insider ZhugeEX on Twitter, the game's creator confirmed to Chinese media that his goal is to release the title before the end of the year. Yang Bing is also considering extending the IP to beyond video games. That's about all we have to go on for now, but if the developer manages to stick to that goal then we should see something new from the project sooner rather than later.

I want it. Loved Devil May Cry series.. Now this clone version. Why not!
Definitely excited and I'm hoping it will do great. Maybe it could help raise the bar for good quality chinese games on the PS4, because so far, the ones we got were rather middling. Still, gotta hope for the best.
And speaking of China Hero Project, I wonder what's up with Pervader VR? Barely heard much about that game.
Anyway, I'm definitely excited for this game. I just hope they don't rush a few things.
I'm excited for any action game with some fresh energy after the reheated leftovers that was DMC5.
N.i.c.e been waiting for that game to come.its a mix of final tanstasy and devil may cry.cool.word up son
Combat wise this has always looked far more like Ninja Gaiden 2 than DMC, some of those attacks are almost identical to Ryu's dual katana and claws movesets. Either way the game looks quality. Day one buy for me.
Am I the only one that thinks this game will flop? I don't get the hype behind it, it doesn't look that good at all, nothing to do with only one person making it, well at least at first until he got help.
@JayDub - Depends on what qualifies as a flop. I highly doubt it will sell like hot cakes due to hack/slash games being extremely niche. Most games in the genre rarely sell huge amounts, a couple of DMC's broke 3 million but they tend to sell well under that. If it hits a million then that would likely be seen as a success.
As for not looking good I'd have to disagree, the little we've seen looks amazing to me. As a Ninja Gaiden and DMC nut the combat looks extremely good and seems to have some depth to it. I really don't care about story or graphics in games like this. Just give me a rock solid combat engine that requires skill to master, this game appears to have that.
