Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is the latest tactical shooter in the long-running franchise. Building on the successes of Wildlands, the upcoming Ubisoft title pits you and up to three co-op buddies against an island full of baddies decked out with high tech gear. You'll need to use new survival techniques to fend them off. The game's out in a month's time, but a lucky few will get to try it out this weekend in a closed beta.

- Pre-ordered Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
- Signed up for the closed beta on the official website
Those that pre-order are guaranteed entry, while those that sign up on the site are randomly selected.
What is included in the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint beta?
In the Breakpoint beta, there's quite a lot to sink your teeth into.
You will be able to explore four areas of the open world map, either playing alone or in co-op:
- Smuggler Coves
- Mount Hodgson
- Sinking Country
- Fen Bog
Several mission types will be available to you. There are two story missions to complete, several side missions across Auroa, and eight Factions missions to do each day. There are also three different types of Drone Areas, which are combat scenarios in which to test your skills.

I did sign up for the beta but looks like they have given me PC beta not PS4
@hotukdeals you selected the wrong platform. Sorry.
Played a little bit of this and it seems okay so far. It's gone a bit more RPG since Wildlands with enemies having levels and equipment having stats. It's very much leaning towards The Division in that respect.
If anyone wants to try this I think I have 3 invites I can give out.
@redd214 yes please mate that would be great!
@bigchappo my psn name is in my profile. Send me a friend request and I will get it to ya
@redd214 will do dude!
Such a shame they've imported the whole "gear score" nonsense from The Division. I like the gameplay, but that's a major turn-off for me. At this point, I probably won't be buying.
The beta was so buggy. Probably gonna get a big day-one patch. Even then, I doubt it will fix everything.
i will say this after playing the alpha and now the beta, wildlands is better and you can play it offline too. breakpoint feels like cut dlc content that was not good enough for wildlands. so i will not be getting this game that is for sure, i fear this is the start of the end for the ghost recon games series.
@TheBuzz I'll agree, It's a huge step backwards from Wildlands, in my opinion. I don't understand why Ubisoft have turned GR into a looter shooter when they have The Division for that (which does many things a lot better).
I couldn't believe it when I got to the Erewhon cave and saw it was full of other players running around. What have you done, Ubi?!
@ApostateMage with the always online requirement and no option to play offline. they clearly indicate what direction they want to go in with breakpoint. this is a 'service game' where they intend to get you engaged and monetize you for years to come. wildlands i fear is the last game that resemble anything of old ghost recon we will get.
