Remember when the complete lack of non-playable characters in Fallout 76 was a key selling point? Seems so long ago doesn't it? Well later this year, everything's going to change. Coming as part of a free update titled 'Wastelanders' this Fall, NPCs will be added to the open world game along with new quests, storylines, and even dialogue choices complete with consequences.
It's a pretty huge 180 for Bethesda, but if it improves the game, then why not? Obviously we'd prefer a stable frame rate and a fix for the crashes on PlayStation 4, but you know what we mean.
Dare we ask if you're a Fallout 76 fan? Question an NPC in the comments section below.

Now let’s see if it’s worth a poo after the update and maybe I’ll be onboard!
This stuff should have been in the game in the first place.
@rdchili96 yeah it should, but hopefully this will finally make the game what it should have been and lead towards what it could be. Fingers crossed they make good of it.
I love how they said something along the lines of "year 1 was about players entering the world, year 2 is about people coming back", like they were planning this all along.
Yeah let's celebrate, that they finaly make a basic game. ... NPC's? How groundbreaking, well done Bethesda, well done.
