Following on from its official release date announcement last week, Dauntless is set to launch on PlayStation 4 today (that's the 21st May, if you're reading this at a later date). In a lot of ways, the game's similar to Monster Hunter. You create your own character, head out on hunts, bring down a few hulking beasts, and then use bits and pieces to craft better weapons and armour. Of course, the key difference is that Dauntless is free-to-play.
What's more, Dauntless will boast full cross-play functionality across PS4, Xbox, and PC. This means that you'll be able to play with users on different platforms, and even carry over your progress should you switch to a different device.
"When we first started talking about βOne Dauntless,β we knew it was a truly audacious goal. No one has ever launched on console with full cross-play support from the start, but we believed in our vision and, thankfully, our friends at Epic Games, Sony, and Microsoft did too," the game's press release reads.
We'll definitely be giving Dauntless a shot, but are you heading out in search of behemoths? Memorise some attack patterns in the comments section below.

That's great. Enough of the battle royales. I enjoy Apex from time to time, Fortnite I still can't even get my first kill. But RDR2's BR is the most interesting imo, I mean it's the old school guns.
@zazzy Nope.
Looks ok, but doesn't appear to have the same polish as MH: World.
Dont you worry they make enough money with free to play games of whales.
