As teased yesterday, Capcom has announced its very own plug and play machine to compete with the likes of the PlayStation Classic. Called the Capcom Home Arcade, it features two sets of classic arcade controls in one rather large unit, and comes pre-installed with 16 of the publisher's coin-op classics.
Here's a list of the games included:
- 1944: The Loop Master
- Alien vs Predator
- Armored Warriors
- Capcom Sports Club
- Captain Commando
- Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness
- Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
- Eco Fighters
- Final Fight
- Ghouls'n Ghosts
- Giga Wing
- Mega Man: The Power Battle
- Progear
- Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
- Strider
- Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
The arcade stick plugs directly into your TV via HDMI and is powered by USB. It also features Wi-Fi, enabling full leaderboards for all the games. It's all encased in a giant Capcom logo, which is a pretty bold look.
Capcom Home Arcade is out on 25th October 2019, and you can pre-order it now for £203.31 / €229.99 / $287.49. What do you think of it? Plug yourselves into the comments below.

DarkStalkers? So they DO remember.
Once it's hacked - it could be worth it. It's certainly a very nice thing.
But 200 notes for 16 FBA games and some nice controllers is pushing it.
I actually like the way it looks.
That's a real ugly design for something that you'll have in your living room.
Too expensive in my opinion. I paid that much for a brand new PS4 pro with 3 games last year.
Absolutely love the idea of this, but I really wish they'd coloured the buttons separately and come up with a bit more of a neutral look. And for £200, I'd expect a few more games on there, disappointed that there's no Alpha series Street Fighter games, SF3, X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, etc. Even if they'd announced a digital store to get more games later, I'd have been on board with that.
Still tempted though!
no caddilacs and dinosaurs.nah I'm good😴.word up son
Not sure about the pricing or design but I like the idea. Make it easily moddable and I'm tempted
It's cool, but waaaay too expensive. Minor gripe, I don't like that the buttons don't have any kind of identifier. I get that there are a multitude of games, all with different button configs, but even numbering or letting them would go a long way toward accessibility. My non-gamer friends would still love to play on something like this, but I can see the blank buttons as being a barrier of entry for them.
@SegaBlueSky its like they want you to fumble your way pressing the buttons when you first use this. Not very user friendly
16 games? Good choices here but it feels like we can do a little better here. Could have at least went up to 25.
Absolutely insane price.
Too expensive.
Hopefully that rig has some weight to it so it doesn't move during an intense match of Street Fighter 2.
I am the the market for something like this and love the design but 16 games is a joke when they have a pool of over 100 arcade games.
As I said about the street fighter and arcade compilation games on PS5 - why be so stingy?
The price is a bit high but it looks a good bit of kit and if it gets hacked I'll definitely be interested, I wonder if they know this and put a USB port on the back
Crapcom.
Too pricey for 16 games.
Looks amazing but very curious to hear about its upgradeability.
Too pricey for what you get, which is gorgeous to be fair. I can’t find an Aussie price online but you just know it’ll be eye watering.
I’m playing my SNES mini all the time, got 50 SNES games on there, 15 Mega Drive, 15 GBA and it plays like a dream.
