Fortnite is beginning to have a monopoly on the Battle Royale genre, and, well, it’s about to have a monopoly on the tabletop as well. Proving once again that Hasbro’s popular board game can accommodate any brand, Epic Games’ uber-hit will pass go on 1st October. Fortnite creative director Donald Mustard tweeted: “It’s so, so fun and such a unique spin on the classic game mashed up with last player standing Fortnite.”
Those of you with eagle eyes will spy locations from the game such as Dusty Divots and Tilted Towers on the board, while it seems like you’ll be paying with HP rather than cold hard cash. To be fair, this is far from the first video game franchise to get its own Monopoly board, as Fallout and even Uncharted have had the privilege in the past. Ah, now the clamor to cash in while the franchise is hot ... next up, a Fortnite movie.
My kids will love this, added to their Christmas list
@redd214 Nice!
The missus has ordered this for the young’un, tbh I’m sick of the sight of Fortnite and now I’ve got this to look forward to playing with the family on Christmas Day 🤦🏻♂️ Just waiting to hear news now about a Fortnite movie/series.
Nice to see a variant on the monopoly series. However I think they have done a poor job on the character pieces they are just bits of cardboard.
No
As long as players don't have to do the celebratory dances when someone lands on one of their hotels, I'm fine with it
