Oh, so this is just... Happening, is it? The mobile version of Final Fantasy XV -- complete with simplistic graphics, cutesy character models, and an overhauled battle system -- is now available to purchase on PlayStation 4 as Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD.
It's priced at £24.99 in the UK and $29.99 in the US, so it's not exactly cheap. We're pretty sure you could get a brand new copy of, you know, the actual Final Fantasy XV for half that price.
However, it's worth pointing out that for the first week, you can nab Pocket Edition HD at 40 per cent off, which is a little more reasonable.

you know what they confirmed the Switch version with this trailer too so i can't help but think it was meant to be announced at the Nintendo Direct they had to postpone

@Kienda I reread my comment and I saw where that would come across. I blame it on how late it was. I had no intention in mocking Nintendo and I think they did the right thing and it just sucks for them. My main plan was to mock this game because even though I’m a fan of Final Fantasy XV, this looks terrible. Even if this was just on the switch, I wouldn’t play it for free.
@ztpayne7 you know the first chapter is free on mobile (you have to buy the rest) so you should check that out because it is actually a pretty fun game to play

I agree it kinda sucks for Nintendo that this is the only FF game they have on the system and that it would have been showcased by Nintendo as a big announcement, yet it is a mobile game. Also it is expensive. I bought the real game for a lot less.
As a Nintendo fan this hurts me, but as a PlayStation fan I am happily enjoying the games Switch is missing out on on my PS4.

@Kienda yeah, hard to believe they haven’t done at least a straight port of FF7 (pc version?) considering Cloud is in Smash.
I love PS4 exclusives, but I also love Nintendo exclusives, which is why I’m hoping to get a switch in the next several months. Black Friday might be the right time.
I actually had more fun with the pocket edition than I did the PS4 release. The super simplistic gameplay made more sense for portable.
