At this point, the PlayStation 4 must play host to some of the nichest games ever created. Fishing Sim World joins the likes of Construction Simulator 2, aiming to deliver an online angling experience above and beyond any that’s come before. Due out on 18th September, the outdoor experience will see you tackling giant lakes, hoping to hook the biggest fish.
Pre-order and you’ll get “three exclusive carp rods and reels, two unique bass rods and reels, plus an in-game ‘Ahead of the Game’ t-shirt”. That’s not all, as you’ll also snag a limited edition in-game black boat, which “can fly across the water at up to 50mph”. And if that’s not enough, there’s a Digital Deluxe Edition as well, which comes with 20,000 tackle points that you can spend on gear and goodies.
“Fishing Sim World is set to be the most authentic fishing game ever, featuring realistic game physics, boat-fishing, intense multiplayer, live tournaments and accurate fish AI, reacting to everything from the water temperature to your choice of bait,” the press release reads. We were sold at ‘Fishing Sim’ but heck, the additional information sure hasn’t put us off.

I like Euro Fishing a great deal, so I'll be picking this one up at some point. These kind of games are unusual in that they are simultaneously rather relaxing yet also stressful, in a mellow way. I expect plenty of DLCs and a Season Pass that is not actually a Season Pass.
Des O'Connor?!
But... no thanks. Had all the fishing I could handle in FarCry 5.
Come with a rod/reel accessory and I'm game.
The Dreamcast's fishing controller and Sega Bass Fishing. Mmmm.
Can't say I'm hooked
When when when will we get a fishing game tag line to an article called Bass to mouth?
