RIGS: Mechanized Combat League is comfortably the flagship PlayStation VR launch title, blending sports with shooting to create a Rocket League-esque experience. But while much of the marketing has centred on the game's multiplayer modes, Guerrilla Cambridge has announced the title's single player campaign today.
This essentially sees you hiring pilots to help you on your path towards the championship. You'll accrue credits which will enable you to purchase better Rigs along the way, and you'll also impress sponsors who'll want to slap their branding on your suits. It sounds quite simple, but it's nice to know that there'll be some offline content to enjoy.
Pre-orders for the game are open now, and if you register your interest before the release's 13th October launch date, you'll nab some bonus Guerrilla-themed outfits, which have been inspired by the developer at the helm. There's an image of the bonus cover-alls above – they look really bloody good, don't they?

I will be buying this at launch along with 2 or 3 experience type games.
I really need to find a PSVR demo booth soon...
My only concern with this game is that it'll be a nausea-fest. I've got pretty good VR guts now, but this does look a bit frantic.
@AhabSpampurse dont worry it isnt worse than driveclub vr ) i tried both
The game looks good but for me its overpriced. Its only arena game. But anyway its fun
@AhabSpampurse When I played it, I definitely felt a lurch in my stomach when I jumped through the hoop (which is the objective of the game). I kinda thought that was cool, though — that a game can immerse me so much that my body is bracing for impact.
That said, it definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea.
@fybyfyby @get2sammyb thanks for the info, chaps. I think this and Battlezone will keep me entertained on day one. I'm pretty excited now for the launch! September will be a slog with all the overtime but it'll hopefully all be worth it!
Hey Sammy? How about eve valkyrie? You get a chance to tryk that yet?
This game look intense, definitely try before you buy.
@AhabSpampurse I must admit that Im not one of people who feels bad whenever something moves Lets say Im resistant to move which I dont see (Like sitting in a bus looking backwards). So I think there will be lot of people who will not feel good in driveclub vr and rigs. We will se...
This game is the one I'm looking forward to.
Soon as I heard "offline" and "campaign" I rushed over to BestBuy.com and locked it in.
