If you're not quite as hyped for The King of Fighters XIV as some of our forum members, then worry not: SNK's going to try and win you over starting next week with a free demo for the forthcoming fighter. The sampler – available in North America and Europe from 19th July – will include access to seven of the playable characters from the release's full roster of 50, which is a rather generous slice.
Elsewhere, during a panel at EVO 2016, the publisher confirmed that the final game will include co-operative multiplayer, in which two teams of three players will battle it out for online supremacy. The full title's due out on 23rd August in North America and 26th August in Europe, and is almost certain to represent better value for money than Street Fighter V's latest DLC pack.

Nice, I had read about the demo coming to PSN in Hong Kong/Singapore, but I didn't think we would see it in North America. Seven fighters for a demo is pretty nice, although KOF's teams of three format kinda requires it.
All off trainstop sf5.
Lets all get on the KOF train. Woo woo. This train is actually going places.
Can't wait to try it out. If the gameplay is solid then we could have a great fighting game here.
This is definitely one of my most anticipated PS4 games right now. Not even sure I'll get the demo - I think I'd rather just skip the appetizer and wait for the full meal, so to speak.
I tend to find I either like the basic controls of a fighting game or hate them so demos are always welcome when it comes to fighting games.
I'll download, I really love KOF back in the day, and KOF97 still my favorite fighting game alongside Samurai Showdown 4. But this game looks really bad so far.
@Frank90
I think it's improved quite drastically since TGS, and most importantly, it looks like they captured the feeling / mechanics of mainline KOF.
Yay a demo of my most anticipated game!
will surely try it
