Who doesn't love an easily exploitable quote, eh? Speaking to Game Informer, Bethesda creative director Todd Howard has spilled a little more information on Fallout 4's upcoming downloadable content. As you may already know, three add-ons have been announced so far: there's Automatron in March, the Wasteland Workshop in April, and Far Harbor in May. Each piece of DLC has a different price tag, and they all sound reasonably varied.
Talking a little bit about the first add-on, Automatron, Howard compares the structure of the DLC to Pokémon, Nintendo's ever-popular monster catching property. "Automatron has a little quest line and this Pokémon-esque 'kill robots, get their parts, build your own' [gameplay]. The robot building is really deep. It's great," he promises.
Next up, Howard gets the hype pumping for the Wasteland Workshop: "We wanted it to scratch that itch of 'Can I build my own Thunderdome?' You can build your own arenas, capture animals, and also build other things." The Wasteland Workshop will be the cheapest of the three announced DLCs, but we reckon that there could be a ton of potential hidden in this one, especially if you're the creative type.
Last but not least, Howard confirms that Far Harbor is very much the big expansion of the group. "A lot of people gravitate toward the larger 'Okay, I'm going to a new landmass, it's somewhere new.' That's Far Harbor. That costs more, takes us longer, and there're more people on it," he explains.
"We went into [Fallout 4] and decided to do all types at all price points. With this initial run, we want to have a little bit of everything," Howard states, describing the studio's vision for Fallout 4's additional content. "In our previous DLC [offerings], we kind of did them one at a time and announced them that way, but because we were working on all of these three at one time, and fit a different niche, we thought 'Let's announce them at the same time,'" he concludes.

Witcher 3 and FO4 are in an eternal struggle to see who can keep the DLC coming the longest. Looking forward to complete editions of both on PS5 in 4k.
Sounds nothing like Pokemon. I do like the idea of 3 different types of DLC though, usually it's just either more maps or more single player back story. Nice to see somebody mixing it up.
First and Last time I played Pokémon I got battered by Squirtle in the grass about 20 minutes in, struggled passed and got to the gym leader. My Magnemite didn't stand a chance.
Pokemon Arena on the N64 though! What a cracking game. Used my sons Pokemon and beat the gym leader. Woo hoo.
Just when I thought I'd pull away from FALLOUT, he pulls this. Not that I like Pokemon. But I like the idea of building my own robot lol.
Can I build a squad of liberty prime, probably not, would be fun though.
