Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's multiplayer looks familiar but fun if its reveal trailer is anything to go by. Sporting plenty of jumping and climbing alongside some explosive gameplay, it's perhaps exactly what we expected - but there's no doubt that some potential plunderers will be disappointed by the fact that the game's resolution is being cut when it comes to its competitive component.
Indeed, the multiplayer offering will sit at a resolution of 900p, but it will hit that all-important 60 frames-per-second. Meanwhile, as we already know, the single player story will go for 1080p at 30 frames-per-second.
Technical talk is always going to generate discussion, but how much do these figures matter to you? Tell us that you're bloody outraged in the comments section below.

A solid frame rate over resolution any day, that I can agree with. Good move Naughty Dog.
Hmm, now I wish they did the same for the single player. It's going to be hard going from 60fps Nathan Drake Collection to 30fps Uncharted 4.
Good framerate is important for multiplayer, so I can agree with this.
Should have done this for single player to.
I don't mind this at all. Frame-rate is the most important visual aspect to me, and honesty, I'm not too sure how much I'll play multiplayer.
Agree that I wish they'd go for 60fps single as well, much prefer that over high res. Be nice if they could give us the option.
Sounds right to me. 1080/30 for campaign and 900/60 for multiplayer. Best of both worlds. Won't stop the haters hating tho
Excellent move! I wish the focus on resolution would go away so devs aren't afraid to throw more computing power towards post- processing effects and framerate. Just this weekend Digital Foundry featured a nice article about AF and why it's missing in so many cases on the PS4 and One to a lesser extent, but unfortunately couldn't give an answer to that question. You can have a 4K resolution, but if the game doesn't run smooth or it's blurry because there wasn't any room left for effects that dó matter, it ain't no good.
1080p has become more of a marketing term and a way to feel superior over other gamers most of the time, but in the end resolution should always take the backseat in favor of a smooth running game. When even Naughty Dog, with Team ICE's support, is having so much difficulties obtaining the golden standard of 1080p/60fps, you know the consoles we currently own aren't powerhouses. And the thing is, if you heard earlier statements about the PS4, also ones made by ND, it doesn't seem they predicted these "problems"; ND was very confident they would hit 1080p/ 60fps easily. I hope DF or some other tech minded outlet will be able to explain to us soon what it is that is holding the PS4 back. With the One it's more obvious, but paradoxically they sometimes have better post processing effects because 1080p isn't targeted in the first place.
But it wasn't the resolution that caught my eye on the Uncharted trailer, it was its cartoony look and gameplay. I actually wonder now if it was the stream I was watching that made it look that way, but what about Elena warping through the stage and the strange looking totem pole that seemed to be killing folks...didn't seem really in line with what I would expect from an UC game.
Funny how the majority of the best games on last gen where at 30fps particularly in terms of their campaign and I never heard anyone complain about the frame-rate of those. I haven't played my Nathan Drake collection yet but I loved the trilogy on the PS3 and think it was probably the best trilogy on last gen. U3 was also one of the best looking games too. I never once wished that the game was increased to 60fps at the expense of its visual presentation. I think the majority (if not all) my favourite games of last gen were all 30fps.
From the video's I have seen, U4 looks stunning. It looks like it will continue the series tradition of having very impressive vistas. It also looks to have increased the size of the playable areas, the amount of NPC's as well as the physics of objects too. The E3 demo was incredible - the way bullets interacted with scenery (for example hitting the sand bags and punching holes through them and sand leaking out) to the objects colliding with each other after being hit by the jeep in the car chase. I am sure the gameplay will be just as good as previous ND games and it will play at the same frame rate too.
60fps for an action game is pretty good.
Nobody likes jerky games.
Hmm?.. Yeah that is a flip-flop decision for one mode looking like this and the other like that. It should've been the same for both. But oh well. I'm grateful.
I'm glad multiplayer is 60fps and to be honest I doubt I will notice the resolution difference
It's unlikely I'll even play the multilayer so I doubt I'll notice, though it is a shame about the resolution as you could really tell on the star wars beta but a consistent frame rate is much more important.
@BAMozzy Plenty of people complained about framerate lastgen especially if you owned either a PC or Nintendo console with a PS3/360.
@MadchesterManc How is this best of both worlds? Most PS4 owners struggle to differentiate between 720p and 1080p let alone 900p which would be a small sacrifice for 60fps considering all the shooting required I'd prefer the higher framerate anyday.
@Jazzer94
I would gladly exchange 180 lines of resolution for 60fps in the campaign!
Get with it Naughty Dog!
Do I assume correctly by saying there will be no splitscreen co op this time? The only thing I am lacking from the Uncharted Collection and the one that would make me touch this one's MP?
