While much praise is lavished over the gameplay and story of Naughty Dog's survival horror opus The Last of Us, comparatively little is said about its soundtrack. Indeed, the harrowing melodies composer Gustavo Santaolalla created for the game go a long way to making it the memorable and emotional experience that it is.
Thankfully, YouTuber Triforcefilms is on hand to give the masterful music the attention that it deserves. The supremely talented musician recently took the title's stark but achingly gorgeous main theme, and recreated it using only his voice. The effect is so stunning that this reporter has been listening to it on repeat for the past hour. Are you a fan of this style of musical tribute? It's so cool to see one of these acapella videos covering a song from a modern Sony IP - they usually just do retro stuff!
no , didn't like it . best game theme music ever has to be shenmue
@eliotgballade yep, soundtracks for that smash anything else. Also this was more just odd than gorgeous
I enjoyed it, but maybe thats just because I love TLOU so much!
It would seem that this guy is just copying Smooth McGroove...
But I guess, if you want to see a very specific song done, you can't rely on him to do it.
Always enjoy a good awkward stare followed by a laugh lol defintely weird
Hey! You! Get away from SmoothMcGrooves stuff!
