You may recall that early last year rumours were floating around the Internet suggesting that post-apocalyptic shooters Metro: 2033 and Metro: Last Light would be making a bee-line for the PlayStation 4 in the form of upgraded ports. Considering the upgrades that we've already received, as well the ones that potentially loom on the horizon, it's not exactly the most outlandish piece of speculation that we've ever heard.
At any rate, it seems that there may have been some truth to the rumours, as online Italian retailer Everyeye.it recently posted a picture of some potential box art for the bundle. The images have since been taken down, but not before someone took a sneaky screenshot that reveals everything that we need to know. Most exciting of all, if this listing is to be believed, it's possible that we'll be seeing the collection as soon as July.
We're not entirely sure how smart of a business move this is, though, especially considering that Metro: Last Light was only recently being given away for nothing as a part of the PlayStation Plus instant game collection. With that said, we're sure that the franchise's distinctively bleak visuals would look gorgeous on Sony's super machine. Would you be interested in this post-apocalyptic update, or will you be giving this one a miss? Scour the wastelands in the comments section below.

I actually think the fact that they gave it away is smart. People have had a taste now, and may be tempted to double-dip in the summer - a time when not a lot else comes out.
I'll be spending most of my summer on the vita and on the ps4 with DW8XLCE, ESO and Watchdogs. I'm not sure why I'd fork out to play this when its already in my ps3 backlog.
Yeah, just what we need another f'ing port. What sickens me is people will acually buy this sh*t over something like The Evil Within. Lets keep supporting this kind of laziness.
@Gamer83 wow, you mad? Where do I begin?
Who's to say people won't get both this and evil within and get the best of both worlds? What sickens me is people like you complaining about HD ports coming to the ps4. HD remasters isn't anything new, happens with movies ALL the time. But for some reason when it happens with games, gamers throw a huge pissy fit. As far as calling it lazy, unless you've played the remaster, you wouldn't know if it's a bad port therefore you saying it's lazy has no merit. So come back after you've played it.
I for one would buy this and have been waiting for this since it was rumored. I have a tendency to be a graphics whore and since I'm a console peasant, I have to lower my expectations when it comes to things like graphics and frame rate all the time, I'm not exactly ready to jump to pc gaming. You may have this game that you got for free in your backlog or whatever, but you have the ****ty downgraded version that was optimized for last gen hardware.
It all boils down to preference, some people prefer visual eye candy and would gladly pay for this port. It's like buying a blu ray movie instead of the standard version. Why would anyone pay an extra 15-20 dollars just to watch the SAME EXACT MOVIE? Because some people prefer the higher quality version while others could careless and the fact that developers are catering to players that are down for these remasters gets a thumbs up from me.
Got both on Steam and planning to upgrade my PC this summer so I think I'll pass unless there's some plus value to this bundle...
@Gamer83 why not wait and see the final product before getting upset? Bearing in mind, this is still a rumour...
@AhabSpampurse it may be a "rumor" at this point but you have to admit that ps4 box art with the blue looks super sexy, whoever made it
@THEundying27 hey, I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoyed Last Light and would gladly double dip considering I haven't played the first one. Plus, if it's shinier then yeah, bonus!
@AhabSpampurse If you enjoyed Last Light, you'll love 2033. It's more atmospheric that it's sequel by quite a bit. If the game gets tightened up & comes with the gameplay improvements of Last Light, it's gonna be worth it for 2033 alone. I'm a big fan of the 2033 novel so it's a no-brainer enjoying the games as I do. I'll gladly double dip even with owning these on my measly PC as the Ps4 ports would no doubt run better for me
@THEundying27
Bravo! (Clap clap)
I totally agree with everything you just said.
Thank you!
@THEundying27
It's Gamer83. He hates everything lol.
But yeah I agree with you. If someone doesn't care about re-releases, remasters, remakes etc then he should just not buy them, nobody is forcing anyone to buy re-releases over new games or something.
@KillTheG1mp maybe friendlier specs? Has that been done in the past with pc games?
@AhabSpampurse no longer a rumor. Deep Silver confirmed it.
@Gamer83 I can feel the love in the room!
@THEundying27 Please watch your language.
