Konami Augmenting Metal Gear Rising with Exclusive DLC

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance may be steering Konami’s classic stealth series in a more action oriented direction, but it refuses to overlook the mainstays from the legendary franchise. As such, the publisher has confirmed that, like its predecessors, the title will boast a slew of VR missions – and many of these will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 in North America.

“Featuring a mix of combat training, tactical manoeuvring, stealth-based approaches, and more, these missions will provide practice in which to hone your skills in original stages not seen in the game’s campaign,” explained Konami’s Dalton Link on the PlayStation Blog. “And, in an interesting twist, you’ll be able to take control of the much loved/hated Dwarf Gekko in the VR missions.”

Bizarrely, the content will be available on multiple platforms in Europe – the add-on is only exclusive in North America. Still, if you're buying the game on PS3, it doesn’t really make a difference, does it? There’s no word on a price just yet, but more details will be revealed in the coming weeks. The full game is due out later this month.
