Lots to come

As part of a statement released this afternoon, Rockstar’s revealed a robust schedule of post-release content for its upcoming Max Payne 3. New “multiplayer maps, modes, bursts, items, playable characters, challenges and more” are all set to release on PS3 throughout the coming months.

The first DLC pack will arrive in June, and will add new maps, items and multiplayer challenges to the game. Players will be able to purchase the pack individually, or as part of a Season Pass available from today.

The Season Pass will cost a hefty $29.99, but promises a 35% saving on all DLC if purchased separately.

Rockstar founder Sam Houser said:

The story of Max Payne 3 begins in the single-player game and crosses over into the deepest multiplayer experience we’ve ever created. We intend to support the Max Payne community with new and innovative content well into the future.
