Recently, you may have seen countless clips of something called Meccha Chameleon, an online multiplayer game that's become massively popular very quickly.

It's huge right now, but is it available on PS5? Let's get into it.

Can You Play Meccha Chameleon on PS5?

The short answer is no, you currently cannot play Meccha Chameleon on PS5.

The idea is simple: Meccha Chameleon is essentially a game of hide and seek, but hiders are able to paint their bodies to match their environment, camouflaging themselves in the hopes they'll go unnoticed.

There are several play modes and numerous maps that offer countless places to conceal yourself and try to fool the players tracking you down.

In just over two weeks, the game has reached over 10 million sales, a figure that'd be considered a big success for titles far grander in scope.

Developer lemorion_1224 released the game on 10th June, 2026 for PC via Steam, and has thus far not stated any intention to port it to consoles.

Meccha Chameleon is made mostly by a single person, and so despite the game's enormous early success, bringing it to other platforms may be a tall order — especially as updates and improvements are still coming thick and fast for the PC version.

There would also have to be some considerations made for how to play the game with a controller, as the painting mechanic is quite reliant on using a mouse.

It's not impossible, though; Meccha Chameleon could come to PS5 in theory, but there's no official word on the matter right now. We'll update this page if and when that changes.
