There are 61 Altars of Reflection to find in the game. These altars are hidden all over the open world; you should come across quite a lot of them through natural play. You'll spot them thanks to their distinctive yellow ambience and the flies that buzz around them.

All Altars of Reflection in Yotei Grasslands

There are 13 Altars of Reflection in the Yotei Grasslands. Below we'll reveal the locations of all of them via images and a quick description of how to reach them.

Altar of Reflection #1

In the southeastern corner of the Yotei Grasslands, approach the large waterfall in Shirahige Falls
Swim behind the waterfall to reach a cave with the Altar of Reflection inside

Altar of Reflection #2

Clear the Saito Compound in the south of the Yotei Grasslands, and you'll spawn in front of this Altar of Reflection

Altar of Reflection #3

In the southwestern corner of the Yotei Grasslands, where Tranquil Falls is marked on the map, you should find a Bamboo Thicket with a guard in front
Kill him, then cut through the trees
Make your way down this valley, killing the enemies as you go, then drop down on the right side at the end
Follow the path to the Altar of Reflection

Altar of Reflection #4

Just to the east of the Old Inn / Yotei's Shadow Inn, you should find a Lost Monk's Camp
Follow Gessho, cut through the bamboo, then pray at the Altar of Reflection to learn a new Technique

Altar of Reflection #5

In the back of The Blue-Flowered Cemetery in the Jade Grove area
You'll need to fulfil the Bounty on Crow Genzo first to access it

Altar of Reflection #6

To the west of Yotei's Shadow Inn, there's a point on the map where three rivers meet
Go there and search the northern edge of the meeting point
You'll find an underground cave next to a yellow-leafed tree, with the Altar of Reflection inside

Altar of Reflection #7

From the Wild Clearing Hot Spring, go further into the area to where you can cut some bamboo trees and find some enemies
From here, slide down the cliff face and jump across to the rock with the Altar of Reflection on it

Altar of Reflection #8

Complete the Mount Yotei Shrine in the northwestern corner of the region to get to the top of Mount Yotei
When at the top of the mountain, slide down into the large crater
The Altar of Reflection is in the centre

Altar of Reflection #9

Clear the Outcrop Homestead in the northwestern part of the region, and you'll spawn in front of this Altar of Reflection

Altar of Reflection #10

In the north of the region, you'll find the Stone Spire Hideout
As you're looking at the rocks with the Altar of Reflection on top, begin by climbing up onto the left-most rock
From here, you'll find a path leading up to a note pinned to a tree stump
Play a Shamisen song here, and a Ronin will appear across from you
Now drop back down to the ground, and you'll find a ladder you can climb to reach the Altar of Reflection

Altar of Reflection #11

In the northwestern section of the region, the river splits into two
Just before the split is a bend in the river
Go to this bend on the left side of the river and look for a cluster of trees in a circle
Near the riverbank is a bit of bamboo you can cut, and inside on the right is the Altar of Reflection

Altar of Reflection #12

Liberate the Saito Recruitment Camp in the north of the region, and you'll spawn in front of this Altar of Reflection

Altar of Reflection #13

In the northeast of the region, there's a path you can take to Tokachi Range
Along this path is Serpent's Pass
Go north in this area, beyond The Twisted Tree, to find a cave you can squeeze into
This is where you find The Three Terrors, but if you go inside and then exit via an opening on the left, you can climb up the cliff to reach an Altar of Reflection
Look for the small yellow statues to guide you there
