Best PS4 Co-Op Games
Below is a list of the best PS4 co-op games. These are our favourite cooperative PS4 games, as determined by our editorial team.
25. Team Sonic Racing (PS4)
Team Sonic Racing is a kart racer that's all about coop. You can team up with your pals either locally or online, and you must all work together to ensure victory. Trailing teammates can use a literal golden path to boost forward, and you can swap power-ups with each other to help everyone get ahead. It's unique, lots of fun, and a smart implementation of co-op in kart racing.

24. Knights and Bikes (PS4)

Knights and Bikes can be played solo, but is even better with a buddy in either local or online co-op. Taking on the roles of Nessa and Demelza as they explore the mysterious Penfurzy island, you'll get up to all sorts of mischief. Cooperation comes into play when you need to solve puzzles together, and in combat, your movesets play off of each other in lots of fun ways. An utter delight from start to finish.
23. LEGO DC Super-Villains (PS4)

Feel free to swap this out for your favourite LEGO game on PS4. Whichever LEGO adventure you play, a big part of what makes them special is co-op. A friend can hop in at any point and take control of a second character, and playing together doubles the fun. Beating up baddies, solving puzzles, and seeing who can collect the most studs in each level — these plastic platformers are built to be played in a twosome. We challenge you to not have a good time playing co-op in a LEGO game.
22. Don't Starve Together (PS4)

Don’t Starve Together takes the addictive gameplay loop from the original survival title and applies it to multiplayer. Playing locally or online, two players will be gathering resources, building equipment, and trying to stay out of harm’s way as you explore the wilderness. A second player can both help and hinder your chances, so communication is key to making progress in this fun, challenging co-op game.
21. Grand Theft Auto V (PS4)

Grand Theft Auto V’s three-pronged campaign already feels like it should be a perfect fit for coop, but it’s with GTA Online’s Heist missions that developer Rockstar North has at last realised the juggernaut series’ collaborative potential. With each player assuming a different cog in an increasingly complicated criminal crusade, this is some of the most compelling co-op you’ll find on the PS4.

Great list, thank you very much. scribbled some names down to play with either a buddy or my gf.
Another coop game someone recommended to me was Think of the Children. I've downloaded it but have yet to play it. It looks pretty funny though
Good list. So little decent couch co-op out there these days. Unfortunate.
I don't understand how Alienation, my absolute favorite couch co-op of all times does not make top-25. I know that it's all subjective, but no matter which other co-op games me and my friend try, we always find our way back to Alienation.
Resident Evil 5 not being on here is a damn shame.
I also can recommend Unravel 2 and Stardew Valley. My GF doesn't play video games very often, but she enjoyed those games a lot.
Sackboy is the best co op experience I've had in a while. I played on PS5, but obviously it's available on PS4. A Way Out is up there.
As far as online co op for a PS4 game, I'm going to say Alienation was some of the best co op of the generation. Helldivers was also quite enjoyable.
Sackboy
Alienation
A Way Out
Helldivers
Playroom VR
Keep Talking Nobody Explodes
Farpoint
Firewall
GT Sport
Not all are couch co op but all have fantastic co op.
