@Oram77 hell yeah we need it! Actual comedy sucks these days… but it’s the one area where Xbox excels 🤌

I played loads of the original Forza over the last few weeks and now I’ve put about 30 hours into Forza Motorsport 2. These games are really very good. It’s nice having a PC that can emulate the 360 😂

Played as much as possible of Forza 2 which was brilliant, playing 3 now which is a bit glitchier to emulate but a bit of a step up graphically. Not too sure about the career setup but enjoying my time!

So Xbox super-shill Destin Legarie has just cancelled his Gamepass… and the reason? Well he mainly games on PC now doesn’t he, so it’s not really worth it for him anymore… even though Gamepass is still basically the same price as it was prior to the past price hikes on PC and… well… a PC is an Xbox right?

These influencers who built their castles out of sand have frankly always been hilarious but I have a feeling that the old laugh-o-meter may actually break during the next 6 months or so. 🤣

He and shills like him used to make me laugh with their “xbox ftw, Phil is god” rubbish whilst all the time they were playing on PC and most likely buying their games on Steam.

I saw the latest Xbox results yesterday and they do not make for pleasant reading. Plus talk of ports being cancelled, it is sad to see all this when it possibly could have been different if only the shills had the balls to call Phil out on his BS earlier.

@CaptD yeah all the constant glazing has done Xbox nor their own channels no good at all. It allowed Xbox to capitulate into their current form and these influencers for hire have lost complete trust by all but the most naive of their audience.

@JohnnyShoulder Xbox choosing their top coreAI executive to lead the devision doesn't bode well from a creative stand point, maybe not joeover but most certainly a red flag.

It's really unfortunate to see the state of Xbox as it is today compared to how promising it looked like five or so years ago. I was totally into the idea of Game Pass and cloud gaming as the future of gaming, but Microsoft completely botched both those things after the ActiBlizz deal. Paying €30 for a month of GPU is ridiculous, while I've been paying €100 for a year of PS+ Premium and that service has offerings much more to my liking than Game Pass.

I've barely used my Series X for years now and that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.

As someone who (once was) an avid Xbox user, who played her fair share of various Xbox titles (even “platted” a bunch), and bought around 200 games and was very loyal to the brand, I don’t quite get how Philly Phil’s absence would impact the company in any significant way. Any opinion or perspective you have of Microsoft’s future, be it on the cynical or optimistic side, is likely not to change due to him leaving, cuz of theory of diminishing returns n allat fun nonsense.

It greatly saddens me, never the less. As philler of the phils was a great figure in the industry and his voice did have a profound impact on how devs need to approach their gameplan, but Xbox being a giant trillionare company (debatably) and Phil o’ phil constantly showing sides of approaching the exit door was quite indicative of him no longer having as much influence as before.

Wishing him the best in his future endeavors, love philosopher phil ✌️

This guy, honestly… I don’t know how he even has the nerve to show his face. After grooming investors into thinking Xbox and only Xbox was set up for a successful future within the space, he’s now started the inevitable slow walk back (though he’s still promoting Gamepass in so far as the banal “potential investors should think of the Netflix model” mission-statement) but with not even a pinch of self-reflection:

He is a plank and just goes to show that anybody can make it even if they haven’t a clue what they are doing, or perhaps he is one of those that tells people to jump in (see what I did there?) whilst him and his mates are.....
It is very difficult to explain how he manages to get 99% of his predictions wrong.

I see the new Xbox boss has admitted other people have been playing games on her account. I’m not sure why she did this as it was obvious it would blow up in her face.
Phil was always suspected of doing this with the odd game but most people do think he is a gamer.

Great start to her new role, I guess it can only go up from here...one would hope.
