So I have PS+ and love downloading free games. I was wondering though, is it possible to buy a game (with real money) that you previously downloaded for free through PS+? For example, say I download OlliOlli2 for free this month, and then in 6 months, there is a PS+ sale on OlliOlli2 for only $3. Is it possible for me to pay $3 to "re-buy" OlliOlli2 at that sale price? I tried, but it doesn't seem like the PSN store would let me.
I'm asking because I see 2 reasons why someone might want to do this: 1. You may want to cancel PS+ at some point, and if so, you still would like a few of the free games you got, but you'd like to buy them at a discount. 2. You wouldn't mind supporting a favorite developer.
I guess you would have to check After your PSplus sub is finished. I really cant say as having a sub i see the same thing as you, everything i have is 'purchased' lol But it might change once the sub is done, just dont quote me on that
Yeah while you are a PSN+ member you wont be able to buy any of the free games you would have to wait till your PSN+ membership runs out then purchase them as that will be the only option for the free games since they will be locked. Why they do it this way is odd but whatever.

Well people are picking up consoles all the time and miss out on PS+ titles. I myself still don't have Resogun. As the games were originally available for nothing, the reductions are for those who missed out first time around.
It's also worth noting that the developers do get paid for the downloads. It's not like they'll go bankrupt because their game was free on PlayStation Plus.

Yup thats how they get away with still having £60 price tags on games that are years old, go check out CoD:Modern Warfare3 on PSN! You can get a 2nd hand physical copy for about £5 now lol
