Try to get Metal Gear Solid HD, for me it is a 10 over 10. And no idea how the PS3 version might be better (except for the fact that you play on big screen), as far as I know all the HD versions Vita/XBoX/PS3 are visually the same, but Vita adds handy touchscreen and back touchpad controls as well.
The Vita version is missing out on Peace Walker so when I eventually get it I'll probably be picking it up for PS3 instead. I've got a ton of games to finish before that happens though.
I also enjoy being able to play PSP titles on the Vita although the selection is a bit small. I would really like to be able to play Kingdom Hearts, hopefully it will be added sometime soon. I picked up Ys Seven (I believe on your recommendation actually) and that game's great. I'm also looking forward to PSOne support so I can finally try out FFVII. The digital only offerings so far have been excellent, Mutant Blobs Attack is one of the best platformers I've played in a long time. 3DS has a pretty great selection of digital offerings as well though, you should look into them if you haven't already.
Of the four 3DS games you listed, I absolutely love them all haha. I also really enjoyed Uncharted Golden Abyss. I beat Drake's Fortune a few days ago and actually found GA to be better though two chapters into Among Thieves and it already beats both. I've considered getting Metal Gear Solid HD as well as Ninja Gaiden but they both seem to be inferior to their PS3 counterparts. That seems to be a common theme on the Vita; Uncharted, Resistance, MGS, ModNation Racers, and most likely Assassin's Creed and CoD. I'm planning on getting FFX HD, Assassin's Creed Liberation, BioShock (if it actually gets made), Sly 4 and maybe CoD. That's a remake, port and 3 spin offs. Vita needs something to set itself apart, otherwise few people will see it fit to purchase when what they already have is better.
Ninja Gaiden is as direct a port as you can get with a few bells & whistles thrown in. It's an old game for PS3/360 now so the graphics are the same. MGS is technically inferior to the PS3/360 versions (graphically) -also developed by a different software house. For what it is though, it's a fine example of a HD collection.

If this is true, then I wouldn't be suprised. Sony needs to make the Vita it's own system, not a "PS3 in your hands." It also makes little sense when the cheapest Vita model is the exact same price as a PS3.
Oh and the system needs more games. I don't wanna buy one now and watch it collect dust after I beat the first few games I get.

To keep the price as low as possible, for example. Do you remember the Wii? It was equivalent to the original XBoX.

False information? Would you say that the Wii is way ahead of the original XBoX? And be ready to find something similar between the WiiU and the 360 or PS3.
Remember than after the original XBoX the next generation is represented by the 360, is the Wii comparable with it? Because this is the step forward that is expected for the next gens of MS and Sony compared with their current consoles.

I'm not saying that it is not more powerful, I'm saying that it is more or less equivalent in power, slightly superior if you want (same as Wii vs XBoX) and this is what most devs have stated (including that when using the video streaming to the gamepad that superiory is gone). But it happens the same with PS3 and 360, which one is more powerful? It was said that the PS3, but as the difference is not sustantive at the end the multiplatform games are literaly the same for all the platforms (except for PC). Iwata itself, when asked, said that power is not that important, that looking for new play experiences is what counts (gamepad) as well as finally supporting HD. Anyway we will see in few months, if WiiU shows a noticeable advantage over the other two I will be really surprised, and I will be also getting one. But atm everything (including the games presented by Nintendo at E3) points to the very opposite. Nintendo simply repeats its strategy: be always the cheapest. There are already pics and some info about the development boxes provided by MS (720), and it seems that the console will be on par with current average gaming PCs, obviously 720 will not be in the range of the 250-300.
I'm not to sure about the 720 being a gaming PC in strength. Microsoft isn't really going for power. They want their system to be a media box mostly, and less about the games. And Sony won't show the PS4 anytime soon. The PS3 just caught up so I think we have another few years with that system. The 720 may be more powerful than the Wii U, but we can't say for sure now. All I know is that they will be close.
