Shorekeeper is back, wishing you well in your wishes.
I will probably try and snipe Cantarella but I have less than 20 wishes now, even with the patch chances are unlikely and it’s more likely she will be the first featured 5-star I don’t get… but I said that about the last 2 patches, so fingers crossed my luck holds.
@themightyant - Yeah really hoping to snag Shorekeeper, I've got one shot at her. Sat at zero pity after a very early Phoebe with 90 pulls in the bank as of today. Fingers crossed for us both!
@z0d15g0d yes, though I’ve barely used him, haven’t figured out what team to put him in. Additionally I’ve got so used to Carlotta, Zhezhi and Shorekeeper I really need to branch out and try other teams. I’ve also not really practiced Phoebe much.
Who are you currently using?
A minor nibble but I’m hoping they increase the number of saved teams from 5 next patch.
@themightyant Lol the same thought crossed my mind when I was playing last night. Carlotta isn't the only character I have. I had more diverse teams before I got her. I'd really like another 5* gunner for a different element as I've got a few for all the other weapon types. Shorekeeper is a must so I can tackle towers weekly. All those free jades going to waste.
@themightyant ChangLi is a great sub dps for Brant. I used them both in the Infinite Battle Sim and they paired really well. I'm guessing that's why they did her rerun.
@z0d15g0d Yeah, i've still not played with Changli much. I did use her at launch but found her VERY squishy and a bit annoying (too prone to being hit mid-combo) as an on-field main DPS. I later learned a better way to play her was as a quick-swap main-DPS (or sub-DPS) which apparently solves both issues, but i've never played around with that or researched those rotations.
Similar story with Camellya and Pheobe as main DPS and Brant and Roccia as sub-DPS/Buffers, I just haven't used them enough to get their rotations down. I really need to spend some time with them. But I kept returning to Jiyan, then Jihnsi, and now Carlotta. But whenever I do my dailies I just stick with Carlotta. Need to force the change and learn the others. Though I am thinking I might go for Carlotta's signature weapon on rerun, which would make me even more likely to play her.
@themightyant Yeah her sig weapon shreds enemies. I attempted Holo Hecate IV talk about cheap. I can kill her with my damage output but her moves are so cheap and my team doesn't survive I defo need shorekeeper to do that as Vierna just doesn't cut it. Especially when Hecate does her stun grab there's like a millisecond window to dodge and if you miss it one shots that character lol.
@z0d15g0d I've said it before but those high level holo's are just BS. They require either perfection, as one hit kills, or signature weapons to wipe them out a bit quicker and not have to get through another set of moves. I have done IV on most, III on a couple, and I think I fluked V on one. But I forget, that may be fake news. lol
How are you guys getting on with Whimpering Wastes? I find it pretty hard and miss out on quite a few wishes. But I don't spend long on it, I may be missing a trick. ToA I usually get 24/30 and am happy with that.
I've been saving the new patch weapon wishes you get from the shop - I have around 50 - 60 - waiting for the right time. As I play Carlotta a lot I might use it for her, or another DPS.
@themightyant Normally I'd avoid anything that causes too much stress (this isn't a souls game) but I completely forgot I got the BP and was scrambling to get points anyway I could for the last couple of days. I think I'm on stage 9 of Whimpering Wastes but haven't played further than that. I've got guarantee for ShoreKeeper and on 70 pulls for her weapon but not sure if there's any point getting that for a healer.
@z0d15g0d Personally not had a problem with Shorekeeper's heals except in Holograms where it's often 1 or 2 hit kills anyway.
But I think her weapon also improves her enhanced intro damage, where if you come back to her having performed two prior intro skills in the 30 second window she gets a pretty decent non-negligible AOE attack and extra heals. It's easier to perform in some teams and some rotations, but it's nice when you all put it together.
But personally I would save them for something else, probably a DPS, or Yinlin's rectifier which is just a meaty stat stick for anyone who can use it. But I very rarely get signatures in these games. YMMV
@themightyant I tend to get sig weapons only for DPS unless it's an outstanding addition to a non DPS. I was in 2 minds to get for Changli as I mostly use her as a Sub now. Thanks for the info I'll save them for another character. Yinlin only spends a few seconds before getting switched out so not sure if I'll get hers either.
Anyone tried the new character Cantarella? Looks like she's built for mid-air attacks...360 jiggle caught my eye lol. I thought Shorekeeper was gonna be the rerun?
@themightyant That should be enough time to gather more crystals for Shorekeeper. Managed to get Cantarella in 5 pulls. She seems to be a Havoc sub DPS healer of sorts.
@z0d15g0d Congrats. I also managed to get Cantarella in 13 pulls. LMAO. Was going to skip but thought i'd try and snipe her with the paltry 3265 gems I had. My luck in this game rolls on, still have every character except Encore.
I also just remembered that there are Wavebands on the store in this game to get duplicates of featured characters for the same cost as 45 wishes (using 360 Afterglow Coral, the currency you getting dupes while wishing). I MIGHT consider using some of this to get a Shorekeeper dupe, as I use her in every team, but undecided.
Either way it seems there is no new 5-star in the second half, so I can now start saving for 2.3.
They also have made Whimpering Wastes easier after many complaints that enemies were just far too tanky, making it too hard. Which is basically what we said above. That is good as I was leaving too many wishes on the table here.
@themightyant Nice! I'm hoping my luck has been restored since I got her with minimum wishes. I spent most of my Coral's on getting character sig weapons so I've only got around 50.
I'm missing the last 3 premiums but wasn't really interested in Brant or Roccia. Phoebe I will get on her rerun and SK in April.
Great news about Whimpering, I'm hoping Cantarella can be my 2nd healer till I get SK.
