Just saw that Danjuma has gone to Everton on loan. Shame we didn't give him more of a chance last season. Seemed like a really good player and I genuinely think he'd have been a solid player under Big Ange this year. Hope he does bits at Everton, just... not against us please.

@QualityGeezer The fact there were rumoured attempts to use Kane in a swap deal for him had me howling at the moon. I was in stitches. 😂

@QualityGeezer Yeah, Mbappe obviously has a bright future and will have a fantastic career ahead of him, but Kane is one of the most complete footballers in the world right now, putting my Spurs bias aside. He's never had an ego and has remained a proper professional throughout his career - aside from that whole Man City drama that was blown out of proportion.
@StripedTomato I can't comment on his locker room antics or behaviour behind the scenes but I do feel there's something about him that would be a bad influence on the other players. There's no denying that.
As for Pogba and Ronaldo, I do agree with you. I think having one or two players in the squad who have a massive ego, regardless of their ability or willingness to do the dirty work, don't seem to be a particularly exciting bunch to work with when those egos eventually come to the forefront.

Man, selling Jota for £25 million to the Saudis isn’t even resulting in some exciting transfers. We’re just doing the age old thing of buying 20 year olds from obscure leagues for a mil here or there, who are either destined for the Prem via Southampton minus a sell on clause or they’re absolute dogsh*t. I’d want another baffling retirement tour like Roy Keane, Ian Wright or Kolo Touré but that sort of player knows they can get a packet in China or Saudi or the MLS these days.
@JohnnyShoulder Mental money involved. Wonder if I could play in Saudi for a season... 😂
@StripedTomato Interesting move. I'm not sure where he stood with Liverpool but I reckon he'd have still been a decent addition to one of the lower Premier League teams.

@StripedTomato He's got 99 problems... and they're all Spurs related.

@QualityGeezer Well, to be honest, I'd rather have Levy than the Saudis. That's just me though.

I’m all for cutting time wasting out the game and such but the 12 minutes of stoppage time did feel a little like they were just waiting for Arsenal to equalise for the drama. Think we’ll see a lot of that this season, especially if smaller teams are trying to hold on towards the end.
@nessisonett I'm beginning to think they should just swap to like some other sports and stop the clock every time there is a stoppage/out of play and it will be a lot clearer what time is left.
I'm a fan of the stamping down on the 'gamesman-ship' stuff to clean up the game. I think blatant pull-backs to stop players should be a straight red to try and cut it out of the game.

@Kidfried Been really enjoying it. In the same position as the men’s football in that I quite like the England team themselves but it feels like treason to fully support them. Would be nice to see Australia lift it but I think they’ll have a tough time against France.

And I was about to post about how Liverpool are being really slow with Lavia, and why are they haggling over a couple of million.
Then they have a £111m bid accepted for Caicedo! 😆
That is an astonishing amount of money. Which makes me wonder about the Bellingham deal, and there was obviously other things other than money as to the reasons why Liverpool pulled out.
And I hope this doesn't mean Salah is going to Saudi like has been rumoured, as I thought that would be the only way Liverpool could go this high.

@JohnnyShoulder I don’t think Jude would have been interested anyway; no Champions League for Liverpool and he’s already shown he’s not afraid of laying abroad so why wouldn’t you go to one of the biggest teams in the world with Madrid?
I guess Liverpool have plenty of money in the bank from trimming their wage bill down but that does seem an insane amount!!
@JohnnyShoulder Since they pulled out of the Bellingham deal and he went to Real Madrid, Liverpool have sold both Fabinho and Henderson so lost some more 'big' wages off the bill as well as received transfer money for those. Bellingham would be a 'Luxury' player with all the 'attacking' players they have and needed high energy 'strong' players to win the Midfield battles - especially a defensive Midfielder.
Lavia never seemed like a 'Starter' to me - a lot of potential, but with Bajectic, you have a 'young' player with a LOT of potential. Caicedo seemed to be their 'first' choice but seemed the cost was prohibitive and with Hendo/Fab, the 'urgency' wasn't as high. Now they have gone, as well as Milner, Ox and Keita, it seems Liverpool are in a better position to pay the money for their 'first' choice.
It maybe a LOT of money, but they got Mac Allister for a 'bargain' if reports are to be believed and if they spent £140-150m for both Mac Allister and Caicedo, you'd not be too surprised.
I doubt Salah will leave - his team has stated that they were very happy at Liverpool and wouldn't have signed an extension last year if they weren't. Doak could replace Salah - maybe not this season, but long term when he does go.
If you look at Liverpool, the 'big' money signings tend to be those you expect to play in the spine of the team - the GK (Allison), CD (Van Dijk) CDM (Caicedo) CF (Nunez) - their biggest transfers are in the Spine of the team so far...
Edit - it seems Caicedo doesn't want to move to Liverpool...
I think the money has always been there, the owners have just chosen not to splash the cash like this before. Last year they bought Nunez for 70+ million and that was almost the whole budget for the window. When they bought Van Dijk and Alison, they used the money from selling Couthino. Unless they've had outside investment which I'm not aware of. Now that they have played their hand, other clubs now know this and might react accordingly.
.....and now the player has apparently rejected Liverpool out of respect of all the work Chelsea has done. I hate the transfer window! 😂
